Story
Please contact Pet (information@pethelpersinc.org) for more information about this pet.   Meet Smiling Stanley! This adorable 10-year-old, 10-pound Chihuahua is ready to bring joy to a quiet home. Stanley's got a heart of gold and a smile that'll melt yours. He's a pro at getting along with dogs, cats, and people, and he's just looking for a comfy spot to chill. After a clean bill of health (post-dental!), Stanley's just on some gabapentin for a bit of arthritis support and to keep him spry. He's also got a grade 2 heart murmur, but don't worry -no meds needed! This little guy's looking for: - Good food (he's a connoisseur, naturally ) - Lots of treats (he's a master of the puppy dog eyes ) - A quiet home to retire in (no loud parties, please ) - A comfy bed to snooze the day away - A family to call his own (that's you! ) If you're ready to make Stanley's tail wag, click the following link to apply: https://www.pethelpersinc.org/adoption-application/     Adoption Fees: PUPPIES (under 1 year) $250.00,   Includes spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, age appropriate vaccines, heartworm/lyme test (if applicable), two rounds of dewormer, one round of flea medicine and microchip. ADULT DOGS (over 1 year) $225.00,   Includes spay or neuter, rabies vaccine, first set of routine yearly vaccines, heartworm/lyme test, two rounds of dewormer, one  round of flea medication, and Microchip. KITTENS AND CATS $100.00,   Includes spay or neuter,  vaccine according to their age, two rounds of dewormer, one round of flea medication, felv/fiv test, and microchip. For more information on this animal email adoptionisforever@pethelpersinc.org. Pet Helpers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foster based volunteer rescue located in Fairmont, WV.  We do adopt out of state to approved applicants, if you are willing to drive to WV to pick up your pet.  We do not fly or use transport companies.  Our adoption fee is $150.00 for mixed breed puppies and adult dogs, $225.00 for full blooded puppies and adult dogs and $50.00 for cats and kittens.  Regardless if the animal is a mixed breed or full blooded they are spayed/neutered prior to adoption IF they are old enough.  If they are too young at the time of adoption, then it is your financial responsibility to spay/neuter the pet by the age of 6 months and you must provide proof for our files that it has been done.  All of our pets are checked by a vet, given the shots appropriate for their age and any other treatment deemed necessary by the vet.  All of our pets are adopted as indoor pets and are not be outdoors tied to a box 24/7.  The pet you are adopting has been living in a home with a foster family.  You are expected to take possession of the pet you are applying for within a few days of application approval.  This will enable us to accept another pet into that home.  Because we are a rescue, and believe that spaying and neutering is crucial in stopping the reproduction of unwanted puppies/kittens and massive amounts of animals dying daily in shelters across the country, we expect any animal already in your home to be spayed/neutered. If for any reason you are unable to keep the pet you have adopted you are required to return them to Pet Helpers, Inc.  They are not to be sold or given away.   Check us out on Facebook!!!!!!  We hope you will give us two paws up, like our page and share with your friends.  Pet Helpers, Inc. Story
Poor little Andy was found as a stray when he wandered up near a home. He is nothing but bones but is so very sweet. They posted him online but found no owner so far. He is safe with us and getting the care and treatment he needs. Turns out Andy is a diabetic and will need treatment for that. We are learning how to do his treatment and he is currently in a foster home to recieve closer care. Ideally we would love to find him a home with diabetic experience. He is the sweetest little guy and so deserving to enjoy his last years in comfort.
