Meet Taquito ❤️ Tiny, Sweet, and Ready to Be Someone’s Little Best Friend Breed: Chinese Crested Hairless  Mix Gender: Male | Age: 2 Years | Weight/Size: 7 lbs (Small) Good With: Dogs: Yes | Cats: Unknown | Kids: Yes Personality: ❤️ Sweet | Affectionate | Loving | Friendly Medical: ✔️ Neutered | ✔️ Vaccinations Up to Date Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue coordinates safe transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality & Breed Information Taquito is an adorable two-year-old  weighing only about 7 pounds. He's a tiny little guy with a sweet personality who is ready to find a family to call his own. Taquito may be small, but little dogs can bring an incredible amount of companionship into a home. He's at a wonderful age—past the earliest puppy stage but still a young adult with many years ahead of him. Taquito is known for being intelligent, alert, affectionate, and deeply devoted to their people. Because Taquito is such a small dog, his family should always be mindful of his size. He should be handled gently and protected from situations where he could accidentally be injured by rough play, large dogs, or unsafe jumps. Taquito would thrive with a family that provides: Plenty of love and companionship Daily walks appropriate for his size Playtime and interactive toys Positive-reinforcement training Mental stimulation and enrichment Consistent household routines A warm, comfortable place to rest Safe handling appropriate for a very small dog A secure indoor home where he's part of the family A lifelong commitment Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Although Taquito is already two years old, every rescue dog needs time to adjust to a new environment. His adopter should be prepared to continue reinforcing house training, leash manners, basic commands, and household routines as needed. Small dogs benefit from the same consistent training and boundaries as larger dogs. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to understand his new household routine 3 Months to fully settle in, build trust, and feel at home Patience and positive reinforcement will help Taquito understand his new environment and develop a strong bond with his family. At only seven pounds, safety is especially important. Taquito should be securely leashed or contained when outside, and his family should make sure doors, gates, fences, and other potential escape areas are secure. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Taquito is already neutered and up to date on his vaccinations, giving him a great start toward a healthy future. His adopter should continue providing: Routine veterinary wellness examinations Recommended vaccination boosters Flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention Routine dental examinations and dental care Quality nutrition appropriate for his size Healthy weight management Regular age-appropriate exercise Mental stimulation and enrichment Continued positive-reinforcement training Veterinary treatment whenever illness or injury occurs A safe and comfortable indoor home Dental care can be particularly important for small breeds such as Chihuahuas, so regular dental monitoring and good at-home care should be part of Taquito's lifelong routine. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Taquito, please complete an adoption application at: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Thank you for considering adoption through Ozzie and Friends Rescue, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to helping deserving dogs find safe, loving, permanent homes. Although we are based in Los Angeles, California, we coordinate safe transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. Taquito is just seven pounds of sweetness waiting for a family of his own. This little guy doesn't need much space—but he does need a whole lot of love, a safe place to call home, and someone committed to being his person for life. ❤️October 5, 2026, 4:17 pm

Story
BIRDIE-Sponsorship needed IMPORTANT: The Nature Network Inc. is a small 501c3 non-profit no-kill organization. Most animals we rescue are abandoned at the pound, who no one wants--seniors and special-needs. 100% of all funds are used for them—extensive veterinary and medical costs, prescription meds, rehab, special foods, supplements, and more. We are deeply grateful for help. To meet us, help us, or if you know people or businesses who would like to, please contact us at: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com (Also our PayPal Giving email address for donation and sponsorship). Mailing: The Nature Network Inc., 3826 Grand View Blvd., #66790, Los Angeles, CA 90066. 100% of all funds are used for our rescued animals. Our Board members and our president and founder are all volunteers. Our veterinary references are available upon request. BIRDIE is a senior special-needs little girl who is now Sponsorship only, and requires special food and care. She has a constantly recurring growth, she is now 12 going on 13 years old, she has a funny little cough when she gets excited which we also need to examine just in case there is a tracheal issue. She will need careful surgery to remove the growth, and at the same time serious teeth scaling (including just beneath the gum line, and always the possibility of removal of any tooth that is beyond help). She is highly intelligent, but because of age, no longer a good adoption prospect, so will get to stay with us for the rest of her years. We do this with many pups who are no longer adoptable, a labor of love :o) But unfortunately this brings on many increasingly large veterinary costs, to keep them healthy and to deal with any treatable issues they may encounter. Birdie is most likely a combination of Yorkshire Terrier and Chinese Crested with maybe a little Papillion thrown in. She is ten pounds. She was rescued from an unsafe situation and has bonded with Alice, another special-needs senior rescue girl pup at our place. The other older senior would not do well without Birdie and they keep each other happy, while receiving the specialized care they need. Birdie has been spayed, is current on everything, receiving every kind of veterinary care she needs. For more information about Birdie contact us at: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com (Also our PayPal donation and sponsorship email)

She likes to play, sleep and snuggle next to you. She loves to lay in the sun all day, and search for little things that scurry around. Mother in law’s health is not allowing her to care for the pup & we need to find her a loving home. She loves children, men, women, other dogs and cats.
