Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Dan – A Gentle Soul with a Heart of Gold. Dan is an exceptionally gentle Chinese Crested Powder Puff, born on 07/24/2020 and weighing just 6.5 pounds. He has the softest, most luxurious fur and the sweetest disposition you can imagine. Sadly, Dan and his family were left behind when their owners moved away. A kind family member brought them to the rescue, giving Dan a second chance at happiness. Because of his past, he may be shy at first, but with a little patience (and a few tasty treats!), he’ll soon reveal his loving and loyal nature. Dan thrives in a calm environment and would do best with a quiet family who can give him the time he needs to build trust. He absolutely adores other dogs and would love a confident canine companion to help show him the ropes and make him feel secure. If you’re looking for a tender-hearted pup who just needs someone to believe in him, Dan is your guy. Give him a safe place to land, and he’ll give you a lifetime of love and gratitude in return. You can apply for Dan at www.adoggie4you.org.  HIs adoption fee is $400.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 17, 2025, 3:28 pm

Story
Meet Moochie, a super cute ~3-4 year old neutered male chihuahua mix, weighing about 10 lbs! This sweet, spunky boy can be a little shy with new people, but he warms up quickly once he knows you are safe. He does well with other dogs (not cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats). He is not a fan of young children (honestly, we can't say we blame him! ), so he must go to an adult only home (or teenagers 15+ who know to respect a dog's space). He is medically up to date, mostly housebroken (expect accidents the first few days while adjusting to a new home/routine), and crate trained. Apply to meet this adorable little guy today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2594633##

Story
Meet Nay Nay, a super cute adult spayed female long haired chihuahua mix, weighing about 10 lbs! This sweet girl found herself at an overcrowded kill shelter in east TN, where she was very scared. We took her into rescue and placed her in a loving foster home, and she is now ready to head to New England to find her furever home! Nay Nay is good with other dogs and people. She has not been cat tested, however we feel she would likely do fine with cats. She has not been around young kids, so we are unsure how she would do with them.  She is medically up to date, mostly housebroken (expect accidents the first few days while adjusting to a new home/routine), and crate trained. Apply to meet this pretty girl today! **Nay Nay will not be available until our 1/11/26 adoption event at Petco in Dayville, CT. We are accepting applications on her now! We will prioritize applicants who are able to attend the 1/11 event. If Nay Nay is not adopted at the event, we will move on to other applicants.** Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. Story
Dubbie was adopted in 2021 from a retired lady going back to her country. I decided to help her but since my son moved out 2 months ago it’s been difficult to match my schedule, I'm out of the house for over 16 to 17 hours every day. I don't have time for the pets. He needs someone able to give him lots of attention. Dubbie is a lapdog, lovable but also needy.
