Story
Meet Moochie, a super cute ~3-4 year old neutered male chihuahua mix, weighing about 10 lbs! This sweet, spunky boy can be a little shy with new people, but he warms up quickly once he knows you are safe. He does well with other dogs (not cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats). He is not a fan of young children (honestly, we can't say we blame him! ), so he must go to an adult only home (or teenagers 15+ who know to respect a dog's space). He is medically up to date, mostly housebroken (expect accidents the first few days while adjusting to a new home/routine), and crate trained. Apply to meet this adorable little guy today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2594633##

Story
Meet Nay Nay, a super cute ~8-9 year old spayed female long haired chihuahua mix, weighing about 10 lbs! She is deaf but don't let that scare you away - she manages just fine and is just like any other dog!  This sweet girl found herself at an overcrowded kill shelter in east TN, where she was very scared. We took her into rescue and placed her in a loving foster home, and she is now ready to head to New England to find her furever home! Nay Nay is good with other dogs and people. She has not been cat tested, however we feel she would likely do fine with cats. She has not been around young kids, so we are unsure how she would do with them.  She is medically up to date, mostly housebroken (expect accidents the first few days while adjusting to a new home/routine), and crate trained. ♥ APPLY FOR MARCIE ♥   Hey everyone! I’m Marcie, and I’m a fabulous Chihuahua mix born on October 10! I’ve checked off all the important boxes – spayed? Yup! Vaccinations? All done! Microchip? Got it! I weigh about 5 lbs now and will stay under 20 lbs when I’m fully grown. Small and adorable for life!   I’ve got to say, I’m the life of the party! Full of energy and bursting with personality, I’m as fun as they come! I get along famously with dogs my size (I imagine I’d be friends with the big ones too; I just haven’t had the chance yet!), and I think cats and respectful kids are awesome as well!   Even though I’m petite, I deserve to be treated just like everyone else. I love a bit of pampering, but I’m also eager to soak up knowledge! There’s a big brain packed into this little body of mine!   If you think we’d make a great pair, what are you waiting for? Fill out an application! Story
APPLY FOR COCOA I'm Cocoa, a charming little guy at around 10 months old. I'm a handsome Chihuahua mix tipping the scales at 13 lbs, and I won't be growing much larger. I've been neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated to keep me healthy and happy.   My journey has been a bit of a whirlwind. I found myself wandering as a stray until I landed at the doorstep of a kind elderly lady who took me in and showed me compassion by feeding me and giving me lots of love. It's because of her that I'm now on the lookout for my forever family. Though my start in life had its challenges, my heart remains full of sweetness. I might be a tad shy at first, but I quickly open up to those who show me kindness. I'm quite fond of other dogs and children, and I tend to overlook cats, so I’d fit in well even in a household with feline friends.   What I dream of most is a forever family who will play with me and continue my training—I'm just as clever as I am lovable! I hope to find my family super soon.    ADOPTION FEE: $663  ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:  Alteration, Microchip, Vaccines APPLICATION: Click here to apply IF YOU HAVE OWNED A PET IN THE LAST 10 YEARS, PLEASE CALL YOUR VET AHEAD OF TIME TO ALLOW RESCUES TO SPEAK TO THEM APPLY FOR COCOA ##2555913##

Story
♥ APPLY FOR PEPPERMINT PATTY ♥ Hello there! I’m so excited to introduce myself! My name is Peppermint Patty, but you can call me “PP” for short—my rescue family came up with that sweet nickname just for me.    Let me tell you a little about myself. I have a special day to celebrate every year on October 10th—yep, that’s my birthday! I’m a small but mighty 5.5-pound Chihuahua mix, and I’m spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped to keep me safe and sound. As I continue to grow, I should be around 20 pounds or less when I reach my full size, which makes me the perfect little companion to have by your side!   I have quite the backstory, too! I was rescued from a hoarding situation along with my mom and siblings. It was a bit overwhelming at first, but I’ve been staying with a loving foster mom for a little while now. She has helped me decompress and feel more comfortable in my new environment, and I’m grateful for that. Now, I’m feeling ready to find my very own forever home where I can truly thrive!   As a pup, I’m known for my calm and gentle nature. I absolutely love to play, but my favorite thing in the world is to cuddle up close to my humans and just enjoy their company. There’s nothing quite like being around people who give me love and attention! I can't wait to be part of a family that continues to teach me all the wonderful things life has to offer—like how to enjoy a cozy afternoon nap or playtime in the yard!   While I haven’t had the chance to meet any big dogs yet, I get along wonderfully with other small dogs like myself. I also don’t mind cats at all! I think I would fit in well with respectful kids, too, as long as they understand that I’m a little one who needs some gentle handling. It would be amazing to have a family that could appreciate my small size and just shower me with love.   I’m so ready to find my forever home where I can share all my joy and warmth. If you think I might be the perfect fit for you, I would love to meet you ♥       ADOPTION FEE: $663  ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES:  Alteration, Microchip, Vaccines APPLICATION: Click here to apply IF YOU HAVE OWNED A PET IN THE LAST 10 YEARS, PLEASE CALL YOUR VET AHEAD OF TIME TO ALLOW RESCUES TO SPEAK TO THEM ##2635496##

Story
Meet Autumn. she is currently located in Mobile, Alabama, but can be transported to your area. Princess Autumn: A Fairytale in Fur ?? Once upon a time, in a land not so far away, there lived a tiny princess named Autumn — a 3½-year-old Chihuahua–Red Heeler mix with a heart as golden as the fall leaves she’s named for. Though she may be small, don’t be fooled — this royal lady rules her kingdom with grace, charm, and just a touch of sass. Princess Autumn loves her loyal subjects (especially those who come bearing treats and belly rubs). She has the daintiest paws, the warmest eyes, and a regal sense of loyalty to her chosen humans. She’s brave like a Heeler knight but carries herself with the elegance of a Chihuahua queen — the perfect blend of courage and cuddle. Her favorite pastime? Lounging upon soft pillows, gazing out windows as if surveying her realm, and occasionally gracing her royal courtiers (that’s you!) with kisses. Princess Autumn dreams of a castle where love is endless, meals arrive on time, and her people understand that every princess needs her space — and her snuggles. So polish your crown and prepare your heart — because once Princess Autumn claims you as her forever subject, your kingdom will be filled with loyalty, laughter, and love ever after. ??? This pet is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, has received parasite prevention, and will be neutered before adoption. All of this is included in the adoption fee. Ready to give this sweet angel the forever home they deserves? Apply here: https://form.jotform.com/223088351047151 If your application is a good fit, a team member will reach out to schedule a Facetime or What’s App meet and greet so you can see this baby’s loving personality in action.
