Hello- my name is Linus. My buddy, Peppermint Patty, and I came to Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue after a rural county shelter contacted them about us. They said we were “unwanted”- but I don’t understand why as I am a really sweet boy. Anyways, I have been in foster for the last several weeks and now I am all ready to find my own furever family! I am about 12 weeks old and appear to be a chihuahua mix. Based on my feet and current size, it seems like I am going to stay on the smaller size. I get along well with other dogs and even play with the kittens at my foster’s home. I have started learning about pee pads, but will need help with my potty and leash training.My adoption fee of $550 includes vet exam, up to date vaccines, deworming, microchip and neuter to be done when I'm closer to 6 months old at one of my rescue's vets (Naples, Fort Myers, Port Charlotte, Orlando or Miami). We don’t know much about Bandito’s past. He was found wandering alone on Bayshore Rd and was transferred to ARC from LCDAS. What we do know is that this little guy is incredibly sweet—his fast-wagging tail says it all! Bandito is always happy to see people and soak up the love. Bandito has tested positive for heartworms and will need to complete treatment prior to adoption. However, potential adopters are welcome to apply and come meet him during his treatment journey.
