Story
This is a pet that belonged to my neighbor daughter and I was asked to foster him since he came from a litter of my other dog. He came back at 2 years old. We have had him for a few months my other male dog fights with him a lot there is a struggle. I can't give him what he needs. He was mistreated before so at first he may growl and try to protect himself. But he warmed up to me and my family. He listens very well. Is crate trained. I've been having to keep him in a crate more and more because my other dog. He is very loving once he is comfortable.

Story
🩷 MEET LUCY — 7½ LBS OF PURE SUNSHINE! 🩷 Hi! My name is Lucy, and one of my favorite things is taking walks in our little doggie buggy around the park with my friend Maggie. (Maggie is in the picture with me, but sorry—she is not for adoption! 😊) I am 1 year old and only 7½ lbs. I came to the rescue with several other little dogs after being surrendered by a breeder. Now I’m learning how wonderful life can be in a loving foster home. I have been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, so I'm ready to find my forever family! Here is what my foster Mom and Dad have to say about me: “Lucy is a super-loving, incredibly affectionate little ball of sunshine! She is doing great with our dog and they play really well together. She met a one-year-old little boy and was very gentle and had him laughing. All Lucy wants is to give you tons of affection and get a few belly rubs in return. She eats great and bounced back from her spay almost immediately.” Basically, I LOVE LOVE. ❤️ Belly rubs are also highly appreciated! 🐾 AND I HAVE A SISTER! If you happen to be looking for a pair, my sister Minka is also available. She is super cute but much shyer than I am and needs a little extra time and patience to feel comfortable. She's coming along beautifully. My adoption fee is $950, which includes my veterinary care, spay, vaccinations and microchip. Our rescue dogs live in loving foster homes, not kennels. This gives us the opportunity to really get to know them—their personalities, habits, likes, dislikes and little quirks. Our goal isn't simply to place a dog quickly. It's to find the home that is right for that particular dog. The adoption fee also helps support the time, veterinary care and resources we dedicate to our dogs, including those who come to us needing more extensive medical care. A few important things before applying: We do not adopt to families with young children. If you are a senior, please consider one of our wonderful mature dogs, since a one-year-old like Lucy could be with you for many years. We generally do not adopt out of state unless there is an excellent, verifiable veterinary history and strong references. Lucy may only weigh 7½ lbs, but apparently nobody told her that love is supposed to have a weight limit. 🩷🐾

Hello- my name is Betty! I am estimated at 3 years old and recently weighed in a bit under 24 lbs. I'm a hairless Frenchie - this is typically done by crossing a pure frenchie with a hairless dog like the Chinese Crested. It makes me very unique I know- but I also have the absolute sweetest personality! I was surrendered to the rescue with my buddy Barney. I am very friendly and social and like to be part of the gang- just hanging out. I walk okay on leash. I am friendly with other dogs-proper introductions please though! My $350 adoption fee includes vet exam, up to date vaccines, spay, deworming and preventatives while in our care, heartworm test (negative) and microchip. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete a free, non-binding application at www.gofar.dog under Adopt. If you have questions, email my rescue at adoptions@gofar.dog. Story
Blakey is a small black Chihuahua mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart — once you've earned his trust. He's goofy, affectionate, and absolutely devoted to his person, which makes him a truly wonderful companion for the right home. Blakey loves lap time, leashed walks, and making you laugh with his silly antics. He's a loyal little guy who will happily stick by your side and soak up every moment of your attention. That devotion also means he takes his role as your protector very seriously — he can be vocal and is known to resource guard his bed, so he'll need a patient adopter who understands small dog behavior and can work with him using positive, consistent guidance. Even once Blakey loves you, he'll always be honest about how he's feeling. If something bothers him, he won't hesitate to let you know — through his voice or a warning nip. He communicates clearly and on his own terms, and an adopter who respects those signals and responds with patience rather than force will get the very best out of him. Blakey isn't the type to warm up instantly — he needs time to feel comfortable in a new environment, and that's completely okay. With the right person, he blossoms into the sweet, funny, loving dog he truly is. If you have experience with small dogs and the patience to let him settle in on his own terms, Blakey just might be your new best friend.
