Story
Calvin is 10 years old & 13 pounds. He is a sweet old man looking for a forever home to quietly live out his senior years. He is dog, lap & nap .
He is a distinguished senior gentleman who has earned every gray hair. He’s a bit hard of hearing these days and has cataracts that make his world a little softer around the edges. He also has chronic dry eye and receives Optixcare (lubricating eye ointment) as needed, typically about every third day to keep him comfortable.
Calvin takes Vetmedin 2.5 mg twice daily to support his heart. He does have a heart murmur, but you would never know it from his spirit. It certainly doesn’t stop him from running, jumping, barking at important neighborhood business, or enjoying a good, well deserved nap.
He is deeply affectionate with his people and truly loves human companionship. He does well with small, calm, respectful dogs, but prefers not to have other dogs rush up or get in his face. Like many seniors, he appreciates a little personal space and polite introductions.
To meet Calvin in person visit us at www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online adoption application.
