Meet Lucky — this tender-hearted soul is as sweet as he is sensitive, with a dash of goofiness that’ll steal your heart- if his soulful eyes haven't already. Lucky adores quiet companionship and gentle moments — a short back massage is his idea of heaven. Indoors, he delights in mellow play: chewing on bamboo sticks or his wobbly pig. He sniffs out treasures in his snuffle mat with joy and focus. Patient and polite, Lucky has nearly perfected the art of waiting for his meals. His favorite treats? Tiny bites of cheese, sweet potato, chicken or sausage, and the occasional mini blueberry — each one a celebration. He enjoys early morning or evening walks. He walks beautifully on leash, rides quietly in the car, and impresses at public places like the hardware store with his calm, well-mannered presence. At night he sleeps peacefully by your bedside. Story
Cain is a 7 years old 14 pound chihuahua that thrives on attention. He's such a happy little guy especially when he's around children. He has never let the fact he's paralyzed from the waist down affect his demeanor or block his little ray of sunshine! He's also dog & cat  friendly and loves people!   Cain's favorite thing to do is burrow under a blanket as close to your body as he can but he doesnt mind sleeping in his own bed or play pen at night. In the mornings he is ready for some good neck scratches and attention from each child in his Foster Home. Food is the way to Cain's heart. He loves strawberries, apples, and egg with his medicine which he takes twice a day. He never appears to be in any pain and is so full of life and has so much love to give. He loves stroller rides, car rides and even days where he can just lay around with his favorite friend. Cain is learning to use the wheelchair but not yet a fan.  He prefers the lifting harness to be carried.  If you open the door to go outside, he will come flying down the hallway because he LOVES being outside!!!! The best part is how excited he gets, about food and people he loves. He does the "Cain Dance" where his ears go back, he smiles big while hopping around and spinning until you get on the floor and love on him. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.  Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address. Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household. Vet checks are required. All resident animals must be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventative (if applicable). Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting.
