With patience, consistency, and reassurance, she continues to make progress every day. Because of her sensitive nature, Theresa would do best in a calm home with someone who has Akita experience and understands the value of going at her pace. Meet Bella! Bella is a 9-month-old 52 lbs pup with a beautiful blend of puppy energy and growing maturity. She’s curious about the world, eager to learn, and full of personality. Like many young dogs, Bella is still working on her manners, but she’s smart, food-motivated, and wants to do the right thing—she just needs someone willing to guide her.Bella enjoys playtime and would love a home that can give her daily exercise, mental stimulation, and basic training to help her continue to build confidence. After she’s had a chance to burn off some energy, she’s happy to relax and soak up affection from her people.If you are interested in meeting Bella, please visit the shelter during our open hours; Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 10a-12p & 2p-4p, Thurs 10a-12p & 2p-5:30p, and Saturday 9a-1p. Adoption application are done in person at the shelter. If you do not own your home, bring consent from the property owner to have a dog on the property. As always, if you have another dog in the home, plan to bring them for a meet before you complete the adoption. Adoption fees: 6m and younger $250, 7m-5y $200, 6y-10y $150, 11y and older $100.
