The vet believes that Chance is between 18mo - 2yrs old and weighs 59lbs. • He is heart worm negative and neutered. •He is super sweet and gentle - wants to cuddle and be near his person. •He is dog-friendly (the foster doesn’t have cats, so we are not certain if he’s cat-friendly) •He is people-friendly to everyone he has met. Foster does not have small children, but he has been fine around children on walks. Due to his size and youth, he might knock down small children, but he is not aggressive. •He is house broken. Even in the rain and snow he has let us know he needs to go out. •He is a little timid to new people at first, but warms up quickly. •He very rarely barks. •He has learned to sit, walk on a leash, and “wait” for his food bowl to be put down. •He is very food motivated, so can be easily trained with treat rewards. He is not reactive when eating. •He can be possessive over certain toys with a low, warning growl if another dog tries to take it from him. •He is not interested in fetching a ball, but loves chew toys and antlers. • He can be very active, but is also happy cuddled up with his person. •He would do great in a house with another dog, but would be fine as an only dog also. She is fostering with a retiree and would be a great companion for an older couple.Hope wasn't spayed until she came to our rescue and unfortunately had developed some mammary tumors. All of the tumors were removed and her chest X-rays and bloodwork are good.Hope is spayed and vaccinated for dhlpp, bordetella, and rabies. She has a 4DX heartworm test and microchip with lifetime registration. Hope is on monthly parasite prevenatives.Also included in the adoption are 30 days of Pet First Pet Insurance, and Petco's Free Welcome to the Family Program.
