This handsome boy has spent most of his life living outside and is happiest when he has plenty of space to explore, patrol, and relax in the fresh air. Because of this, Sumo would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard, acreage, or a farm-type property where he can continue enjoying the outdoor lifestyle he loves.Sumo is friendly with people and enjoys human companionship, but he appreciates having his boundaries respected. He`s not the type of dog who wants to be fussed over constantly, and he`ll do best with adopters who understand canine body language and will allow him to approach affection on his own terms.He appears to enjoy the company of other dogs, but he does have some resource-guarding tendencies around them. Any introductions to canine companions should be managed carefully, and feeding or high-value items should be kept separate. Because of his prey drive and background, Sumo is not suitable for a home with cats or other small animals.Sumo is searching for a home that understands and appreciates him for who he is—a loyal, independent dog who enjoys his space, loves being outdoors, and will make a wonderful companion for the right family. If you have room in your heart and your yard for a big fluffy friend, Sumo may be waiting for you.
