Story
Hi, I’m Grey Duck. Yes, that Grey Duck—like from the game Duck, Duck, Goose… or as some people historically (and correctly) say, Duck, Duck, Grey Duck. I’m the unexpected plot twist, the calm one you didn’t see coming, and honestly? I live up to the name. For a husky-type guy, I’m surprisingly laid back. I walk beautifully on leash, listen well to gentle guidance, and I’m much more interested in enjoying the great outdoors than causing chaos. I’m polite when getting my collar on and off, totally fine with handling, and I lean right in for affection. Bum scratches are my absolute weakness—give me one and you’ll get a full wiggle-back-end performance.I’m friendly and relaxed with new people, and I’ve shown I can stay calm and respectful around other dogs, even when they’re not feeling particularly social. I don’t feel the need to argue or escalate—I’m happy to just walk away and do my own thing. I could live with a polite dog friend or be perfectly content as your one and only. Cats and kids are still a mystery, so slow, thoughtful introductions would be important.Food-wise, I’m a bit of a connoisseur. Dry kibble? Meh. Wet food? Now we’re talking. I take treats gently and don’t guard my food or toys. Toys are fun for about five seconds, and then I’m over it. Attention is nice, but mostly I just want to be outside, exploring and taking in the world.I should be honest—I do have a little husky mischief in me. I can and will hop up on tables or counters if something interesting is up there, so you’ll want to manage that and keep tempting snacks out of reach while I learn the house rules. I’d also benefit from some gentle crate training to help me settle and relax when needed.I came in as a stray, so my past is a mystery, but my present is pretty easygoing. I’d likely do well in an apartment with an active person who enjoys walks, adventures, and a dog who’s more “chill sidekick” than “chaos goblin.”So if you’re looking for a husky who zigged when you expected a zag—calm, affectionate, a little goofy, and named after a children’s game that sparks heated regional debates—I might just be your Grey Duck.

Story
Hi, I’m Koda—professional explorer, snack enthusiast, and full-time Husky with opinions. When you come to meet me, I’ll likely greet you with a happy wag, a little bounce, and then show off my manners by sitting nicely for treats (which I take very gently, thank you). I know several cues like sit, down, paw, and “off,” and I walk pretty well on leash for a Husky, though I do like to stop and smell all the important messages along the way.Food is my love language. I’m extremely food motivated and learn quickly because of it, though I may prefer not to be disturbed while I’m eating. Once my bowl is empty, I’m totally happy to move on and see what other snacks you have, and I trade items nicely when asked. Toys? Meh. Cuddling? Optional. Exploring outside and sniffing everything? Absolutely yes.I’m very friendly with people, including respectful kids, but I can get over-excited and jump, so I’ll need help remembering to keep all four paws on the floor. I’m known to “talk” when I’m frustrated or excited—classic Husky commentary. Cats and dogs are a no-go for me, so I prefer to be the only animal. One last thing to know: I can jump impressively high from a standstill and have a bit of a history with counter surfing and mischief when left unattended, so secure fencing, good management, and ongoing training will help me be my best self. If you are super active and love being outside a lot, I could be convinced to live in an apartment; just be sure your neighbours are down for the occasional yodeling session (they can even sing along, I don`t mind).I was surrendered through no fault of my own and am ready for an active home that appreciates a smart, sassy, food-loving Husky who will keep life interesting. I`m unbelievably smart, love to work, and love food! I`m a really fun guy to work with! If you’re looking for a dog with personality, I might just be your guy.
