We have found Moose to be naturally mellow and gentle, low-maintenance and easy to please. He enjoys quiet company and cozy naps. Moose isn't demanding -- he just wants a soft spot to rest, a friendly human to love, and a place where he can feel safe and settled. He's an easy fit whether you're a first-time dog adopter or a seasoned pet parent looking for a calm companion. If you're searching for a low-key, lovable little buddy who's as simple as he is sweet, Moose might be your perfect match. Come meet this mellow boy and let him melt your heart! This darling boy joins us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services. Due to the shelter's full kennels and his senior status, they felt he would do best in a senior-focused rescue to find his forever family.

Looks like: Chihuahua mix Male, 13 years old (estimated), 16 pounds Meet sweet Pauly D, a senior pup with a heart full of gold. Pauly D was dealt an unfortunate hand when it comes to his health, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't live out the remainder of his life being spoiled and loved! This brave boy has been diagnosed with a heart murmur and enlarged heart, along with a variety of other ailments. If giving a pup with medical needs a second chance is your calling, then look no further, Pauly D is your boy. Pauly D joined POMDR from Ventura County Animal Services to help alleviate the overcrowding at the shelter.

Chocolate Chunk loves getting out for walks and would thrive in an active home where he can stretch his legs, feel the breeze, and be included in daily adventures. He's the kind of pup who's happiest when he's part of the mix, a true family recipe essential. Chocolate Chunk is wonderfully easygoing. He has that calm, steady presence that makes you instantly relax. Whether you're heading out for a stroll, hanging out in the yard, or winding down at the end of the day, he's content just being by your side. Even sweeter? He's great with other dogs! He blends beautifully into a pack. His friendly, gentle nature makes him an easy addition to just about any home. Chunk joined us after he landed at Contra Costa Animal Services as a stray. Due to the shelter's full status and his senior age, he was the perfect addition to the POMDR pack!
