I found this little guy when I was walking my own dog. Later I found out he'd been abandoned by a woman at the park. He's playful and sleeps in his crate. He also is potty trained. I am unable to keep him as he stresses out my own dog and we have no time to play with him.

Meet Lester! This little low-rider came in with 2 of his littermates (DeeDee, who has been adopted, and Dennis - available for adoption). These poor pups were found abandoned in a field and were so scared they hid under their beds for several days before they realized we meant no harm, Lester being the "bravest" of the bunch. Lester is about 10 months old and weighs about 27 lbs. While he is still a bit shy with new people, he has come out of his shell and showing his puppy personality. Lester loves to hang out in your lap and enjoys a good cuddle. He doesn't mind cats and enjoys toys but doesn't like crates. Lester doesn't like to share his humans (resource guarding) so an adopter needs to have experience with that if another is in the home. He would probably do best as the only dog in the house. Come check out our adoptable dogs at 2650 Washington Blvd, Crescent City, CA 95531. Kennels are open Mon-Fri, 9:30AM-3:30PM, or by appointment. Meet Dennis! This little low-rider came in with 2 of his littermates (DeeDee, who has been adopted, and Lester - available for adoption). These poor pups were found abandoned in a field and were so scared they hid under their beds for several days before they realized we meant no harm. Dennis is about 10 months old and weighs about 32 lbs. While he is still a bit shy with new people, he has come out of his shell and showing his puppy personality. Dennis is not a fan of a crate… He will definitely be your best bed buddy & not be a bed hog about it. He is frequently in a foster home with several other little dogs and one dog slightly bigger than him and does well. We feel as though he needs to go to a quiet home with middle school aged children or older. Dennis can coexist with a cat and definitely needs a dog buddy or two. A couple of weeks ago I was walking my own dog when we came upon a puppy who had been abandoned at the park. There was nobody around, so I took him to get microchipped. He was not chipped. I decided to keep him and immediately put his information on social media and called shelters. They were all full. I have been keeping the dog safe and got him his first set of vaccinations. We do not have space or time for a puppy, as he is very playful and energetic. He stresses out our older dog. This little guy would be great for a family or someone who wants a smart, cuddly little playpal.

DOLLY: Chihuahua Mix • Spayed Female • 1 year old • 11 lbs Dolly is a sweet, gentle little girl with a calm and quiet nature. She rarely barks, has lovely indoor manners, and is not destructive. She gets along well with other dogs, walks nicely on a leash, rides calmly in the car, and sleeps comfortably in her crate. One of her favorite things is watching the world go by from the car window. She also shares her bed politely and enjoys peaceful companionship. Dolly can be a bit timid when she first meets new people, but with gentle affection and a few hugs, she quickly begins to trust. Once she feels safe, her soft, loving personality shines through and she becomes a happy, calm, and very affectionate companion. Dolly was rescued after being found abandoned on the side of the road with another dog. They had been left without shelter, surviving cold rain and freezing temperatures. Thankfully, a kind person noticed them and asked for help. Dolly was rescued easily and without resistance, as if she knew she was finally safe. Now she is ready for a loving home where she can continue to build confidence and share her quiet, devoted love. Every dog deserves a safe and loving home.
