Little Bear and his best friend Sadie, also on the web, are looking for a home together! Adopted from AFRP several years ago, they recently returned to our care when their beloved owner passed away. Little Bear is a sweet 12-year-old senior and weighs about 10 pounds. He's a happy and affectionate lap dog that loves belly rubs and back scratches. He is crate trained and sleeps all night snuggled with Sadie - and he also loves to groom her! Little Bear and Sadie enjoy taking two short walks per day. He is a bit nervous when around large dogs after surviving a dog attack in the past. Little Bear has a heart murmur and he takes one medication in the morning and night. Pepito's story is a testament to the power of love and second chances. He came to us from Santa Cruz County Animal Services after being surrendered by his guardian, who could no longer care for him due to living arrangements. He joined his foster home scared, uncertain and in pain, and reacted when pain meds were forcibly administered. He wasn't a bad dog, just scared and in pain. With the loving patience of his new foster mom and tolerant cat family, Pepito's life has made a complete 180! He is now a happy, loving, amazing little companion.

I got Luna, April 2020 just at the beginning of the pandemic. She is a fantastic companion. She goes in and out of the dog door even when it's raining outdoors. She has never gone to the bathroom in the house. She is a good walker but slower now that she is a senior dog. I estimate her age as being 12 or 13 years old. She is hard of hearing so I get her attention when I whistle. And her vision is not as good as it used to be. Unlike most Chihuahuas, she is actually really quiet. The only time that she barks is when she wants to eat. She sleeps in her dog bed with a blanket over her. She has a lot of fibrous growths on her body, but they are not cancerous. She has had them since I got her. She has recently had her teeth cleaned and had about 9 teeth extracted. She has no medical issues except for occasional pee dribble. I travel often and will be moving soon which makes it really hard to keep her. She a sweet dog who is seeking a loving new home.

Well, now is your chance to have him in your life every day! Though they share a name, but not the flowing locks, this four-legged Fabio will melt your heart just as fast! Fabio can take a bit of time to warm up to new people, as he is shy at first, but then will be your loving snuggle companion! Fabio is a gentle fellow with other dogs, cats, and older children. He adores going for car rides just about as much as he loves his walks! When not out and about on the town, he is a total lap dog and enjoys burrowing in blankets and playing with toys at home. He's a loyal and well mannered boy who would love a quiet spot to land in. Fabio came to us almost hairless due to untreated allergies. He has come a long way in our care, but we are still working to resolve his allergy issues. At this time, Fabio is available to an adopter who is committed to working on his skin issues. Treatment involves a combination of Western and holistic therapies. Fabio was rescued from the euthanasia list at an Oakland shelter by Our Neighborhood Pet Project. They reached out to us for help getting Fabio's skin issues resolved and to help him find a forever home.

She is a happy girl who will greet you with tail wags and body wiggles! She loves her people. In fact, her favorite place is right in your lap. Her second favorite place is out on a walk! She gets along well with other dogs when off leash in the house or yard, but she does seem to have some considerable reactivity when wishing to guard her favorite people. Her next home will need to be up for some training fun with their new family member. We aren't sure yet how she is with kiddos or cats. Little Clover came to us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services after they reached out to see if we could help her find a forever home.
