Story
I’m Buddy — a 4-year-old Chiweenie and a sweet, shy little guy who came into rescue with my sisters after our dad passed away. I love my people more than anything in the world and will happily follow you from room to room, just to be close. Attention? Yes please. Snuggles? Absolutely. I get along well with other dogs and cats, so I can fit right into a family with furry friends. I’ve been working hard on my weight loss journey—I went from 30 pounds to 25 pounds and I’m ready to keep it up with walks and playtime. I have about 8 more pounds to lose. I’m used to having a fenced yard, and honestly, I’d really love one at my new home so I can safely run, explore, and soak up the outdoors. If you’re looking for a loyal little companion who wants to love you as much as you love me, I might just be your perfect match. Let’s make it official—adopt me and I’ll be your sidekick for life! Buddy is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. If you’d like to meet Buddy, please fill out an adoption application at www.furfunrescue.org. Questions? Email rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Adopters must live within a two-hour radius of Cedar Rapids, IA. Indoor homes only. Adoption Fee: $300

Story
Clyde is one of six puppies born on October 29, 2025, and at 4 pounds, he’s a perfect pocket-sized mix of curiosity and charm. He may be little but he has plenty of personality. Clyde’s mom, Coco, is a 12-pound Chiweenie who was found as a stray. A Wisdom Panel DNA test done on one of the puppies in this litter revealed a fun blend of 17 breeds, with Chihuahua and Dachshund making up the majority. Clyde is expected to remain a small dog as an adult, making him an ideal companion for someone looking for a little shadow to follow them from room to room. Clyde enjoys romping and wrestling with his littermates, then happily settling in for cuddles when playtime winds down. He loves attention and soaks up pets like they’re his favorite treat. He is doing great with house training, but as with any young puppy, he will need close supervision and frequent potty breaks while he continues to learn. Because Clyde will be a small adult, there should be no large dogs in his forever home. A physically fenced yard is preferred but not required. Clyde is a sweet, affectionate puppy with a soft heart and playful spirit, ready to trade his puppy pile for a forever family. If you’re looking for a small companion with a big dose of love, Clyde could be your perfect match. Clyde is ready to meet adopters now and will be ready to move to his new home when he is 10 weeks old January 7th. Clyde will be neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and have had two of the three required distemper/parvo vaccinations. His adopters will be responsible for his third distemper/parvo vaccine at 14 weeks of age and his rabies vaccine at 16 weeks of age. If you’d like to meet Clyde, please fill out an adoption application at www.furfunrescue.org. If you have questions about George you can email rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Adopters must live within a two-hour radius of Cedar Rapids, IA. Indoor homes only. Adoption Fee: $400

Story
Duke is one of six puppies born on October 29, 2025, and at 4 pounds, he’s a compact little guy with a confident sparkle. He carries himself like he knows his name means something important, even if he’s still figuring out how his ears and paws work. Duke’s mom, Coco, is a 12-pound Chiweenie who was found as a stray. A Wisdom Panel DNA test completed on one puppy from this litter showed a fascinating blend of 17 breeds, with Chihuahua and Dachshund making up the largest portion. Duke is expected to stay small even when fully grown, making him a great fit for someone looking for a little dog with a lot of heart. Duke loves playing with his littermates and is always ready to jump into the fun. When playtime is over, he’s equally happy soaking up attention and cuddling in for pets. He’s doing very well with house training, but like all puppies, he’ll need close supervision and frequent trips outside as he continues to learn. Because Duke will be a small adult, there should be no large dogs in his forever home. A physically fenced yard is preferred but not required. Duke is a sweet, playful puppy with a confident but gentle personality, ready to bring joy, laughter, and a whole lot of love to his forever home. Duke is ready to meet adopters now and will be ready to move to his new home when he is 10 weeks old January 7th. Duke will be neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and have had two of the three required distemper/parvo vaccinations. Story
George is one of six puppies born on October 29, 2025, and he proudly holds the title of biggest pup in the litter, tipping the scales at almost 5 pounds. Don’t let that go to his head though. He’s still very much a cuddly little guy who thinks laps were invented just for him. His mom, Coco, is a 12-pound Chiweenie who was found as a stray. We completed a Wisdom Panel DNA test on one of the puppies in this litter, and their results showed an impressive mix of 17 breeds, with Chihuahua and Dachshund making up the largest portion. George is expected to stay on the small side even when fully grown. George plays beautifully with his littermates and balances puppy playtime with a serious love of being petted and held. He’s the kind of puppy who happily bounces around and then melts into your arms when playtime is over. He is doing very well with house training, but like all puppies, he will need close supervision and frequent trips outside as he continues to learn. Because George will be a small adult, there should be no large dogs in his forever home. A physically fenced yard is preferred but not required. George is a sweet, affectionate puppy with a gentle nature and just enough confidence to explore the world one paw at a time. If you’re looking for a small companion with a big heart, George may be the perfect fit for your family. George is ready to meet adopters now and will be ready to move to his new home when he is 10 weeks old January 7th. George will be neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and have had two of the three required distemper/parvo vaccinations.
