Story
Currently fostered in Texas Meet Chico. He is apx 8 years old and a chunky stout 13.5 pounds. Chico is a great dog in many ways however he does take some time to warm up to new dog friends. This behavior appears fear based with new dogs he does not know getting in his face, he will growl and do a little air snap. After he feels safe and secure , within a few days, Chico will be your dogs new best bud. He also has a bit of separation anxiety . He hates a crate or pen and wants to be out with his people. Which really is not a problem because he appears fully potty trained and is not destructive. He walks on leash and we have never heard him bark. Chico is great with cats and kids. He would love a home with home body or retired person that stays home a lot with him. He would make a fabulous companion and lap dog. He is very clean, well behaved and would do fine in a small home space or apartment type dwelling. He will also use wee pads if you put one down and he never misses. He will have some anxiety the first few days in a new environment as he is just so unsure and scared of all the change. We can send him home with some medication to assist with this transition. He will settle in after a bit once he feels safe. Chico gets a dental on June 29th . He was neutered young and squats to pee so no marking. Chico loves all people and is very submissive to people and adores attention. He was an owner surrender to animal shelter so it is understandable he has some trauma he needs to work through. Chico is actually a very good boy aside from the dog aggression, and if he just had someone give him a chance a couple weeks of decompression time, he will be your best friend and most loyal companion. Story
PLEASE NOTE: Transport fee to Canada will be required. Cricket is still awaiting that perfect person. He is apx 12 years young and 10.5 pounds .He was adopted but returned because he bit the neighbor. Cricket takes a while to warm up to new people, more than a day, maybe more than a week, but he does. He never attacks or bites people out of no where , he is fine with having friends over but he does not like being cornered or picked up by strangers, provoked or pet by people he does not know. He also does not like boy dogs but he loves the ladies and has several girlfriends here at the ranch. He does not like people kissing him in the face even if he does love you he is not a face kisser. Cricket is also heartworm positive and on the slow kill method. He was born in his home, he lived with his elderly human father for 12 full years. He has always been wonderful with me and adores me, since day one. So he is just particular with his people. He loves everyone that works and volunteers at the rescue but some took longer to warm up than others. He is a very sweet and loving gentleman once he warms up to you. He is an easy dog once he warms up, you just have to give him time and space and within a few weeks he will following you everywhere and crawling in your lap for cuddles and sleeping next to you in bed. He had a dental. He had a proheart injection, he loves food, he is not a big barker unless a stranger comes over. He has pretty good potty manners but may mark the first couple days. He is actually a gentle quiet soul that just thinks for some reason he has to make himself larger than life when he is scared or uncertain or nervous. You will fall in love with Cricket. It may not be the first night , but he weasels his way into your heart, you will see. Story
CULLUM is currently being fostered in Southern Ontario. Meet Cullum 🖤 A total mama’s boy with a heart of gold 💙 Cullum is a 2–3‑year‑old, 9‑lb sensitive little soul with a huge heart, just waiting for the right person to love. He may be timid at first, but beneath that shy exterior is a deeply loyal companion who bonds hard and loves even harder. Once you’ve earned his trust, you’ll have his whole heart forever. ❤️ Cullum is the definition of a “mama’s boy.” When he chooses you, he becomes your shadow, your snuggle buddy, your biggest fan. His happiest place is tucked under the covers, curled up close to his person at the end of the day. Because of his past, Cullum is deeply fearful of men and requires a women‑only, child‑free home. Male visitors are fine, but his caregiver(s) must be women so he can feel safe and thrive. One thing that brings Cullum pure joy? Other dogs. He absolutely lights up around friendly, playful pups and becomes a goofy, carefree little guy. He must have at least one playful dog in his forever home — a confident canine friend helps him feel secure, happy, and brave. Cullum has excellent housetraining manners and thrives on routine. He would love a home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely explore and relax. He’s learning to walk nicely on leash, but because he can be easily startled, an escape‑proof harness is essential. He is also crate trained and finds comfort in having a safe, cozy space of his own. Cullum has been through a lot, but he’s ready to give his heart to someone who understands him. With patience, gentleness, and time, he will reward you with a rare kind of devotion — the kind that only comes from a dog who finally feels safe. Once Cullum trusts you, he will love you with a depth and loyalty that is truly extraordinary. If you believe in the beauty of helping a fearful dog blossom into the joyful companion he was meant to be, Cullum might just be your perfect match.
