She is quite possibly **one of the sweetest dogs you could ever meet**. Once Lilly trusts you, she loves deeply and wants nothing more than to be close to her person. But there is something important her future family needs to understand: **Lilly is scared. Really scared.** New people, unfamiliar places, sudden movement, noise, and changes in her surroundings can overwhelm her. Her first instinct is not aggression—it is to **run, hide, and make herself disappear until she feels safe**. That means Lilly does not need someone who expects her to become their best friend in five minutes. She needs someone patient enough to let **her decide when five minutes becomes five days—or five weeks.** And when she finally comes to you on her own? That trust will mean everything.
