Story
Lola is a 9 year old brindle Chihuahua Daschund mix. When we first got her we did not have any children for two years and she was treated as our only child. We now have two toddlers and a newborn and the added responsibility of a dog who needs more attention than we can give her now weighs on us daily. She would prefer to be in a more quiet home. She is anxious when in a crowd or when new people are over and the unpredictable nature of kids seems to scare her. Ideally we will find her a loving home with no children or other pets.We have all of her vet records/receipts from over the years.

This is Simone. A 1-year-old Dachshund/Chihuahua mix weighing about 15 pounds, she came to us from another rescue after being saved from a home with more than 60 dogs. Because of her background, Simone is still learning what life in a normal home should feel like and will need a patient family to help her build confidence. She’s friendly with new people but can be timid and shy at first, approaching the world with a gentle and sensitive nature. Simone would do best in a home with another dog, as canine companionship is what she’s always known. She may also be a flight risk initially, so her future family will need to be committed to keeping her safe and taking extra precautions during the adjustment period. Simone has a moderately active energy level and enjoys quiet companionship more than chaos. She’s good with other dogs, no cats for this girl, and would likely do well with respectful kids who understand the importance of giving her space when she feels nervous. This 2-year-old, 10-pound Dachshund/Terrier mix came to us from a hoarding situation with more than 60 dogs, so she's still learning that life can be peaceful, predictable, and full of kind people. Bayla is very shy, scared, and skittish, and she'll be a flight risk at first, so her future family will need to be patient and extra careful while she settles in. Although she's nervous, she allows people to gently pick her up and seems to have a sweet, submissive nature. Bayla enjoys the company of other dogs and would thrive in a home with a confident canine buddy. With time, patience, and lots of gentle encouragement, we think this quiet little girl will blossom into a loving companion.
