Welcome Bonnie to CCPAL Rescue. Bonnie is a 4.5 pound Chiweenie. That is Dashchund/Chihuahua. She is 10 weeks old. She has a beautiful fade coloration from tan to black. She has a little longer body and one down and one sideways ear. She is good in a crate, likes to be held. She is learning the wee pad and gets toys and treats from our adopters. She will get grooming and nail trims at the rescue so she will be fine with that. She would be a great dog for a lover of this breed. A smaller yard would be fine. Dashchund and Chihuahua are typically vocal but if you raise as a puppy and correct her by saying “no” this should help as an adult. She would be fine in a doggy daycare as she is very social. People who have had this breed love it for the loyalty to their human. She is getting spayed and all her vaccinations at the Rescue. She is ready for her forever home. She would be best in a home with someone that doesn’t work all day every day, as she will need to finish up her puppy training. She would also be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is currently in the CCPAL Rescue in Texas. She can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200 to move her to another state. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. He looks like Bonnie but he is a little taller and has down ears. He has a little longer legs and body. He is good in a crate, likes to be held. He would be a great dog for a lover of this breed. A smaller yard would be fine. He would be fine in a doggy daycare as he is very social. He was found as a stray. He is getting neutered and all his vaccinations at the Rescue. He is ready for his forever home. He would be best in a home with someone that doesn’t work all day everyday as he will need to finish up his puppy training. He would also be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in the CCPAL Rescue in Texas. Welcome Maverick to CCPAL Foster Program. Maverick is a 4-year-old Chiweenie. He weighs about 19 pounds. He is good on a leash, good in a car. He is potty trained and very loyal to his person. He knows “go for a walk”, “stop”, “leave it”, “It’s the neighbor” and a few other commands. He is in a home and the owner is having some very big financial issues and need to find Maverick a new home. Maverick has some allergies to food and the food that he can is a Duck and Potato kibble. He has some allergies to grass. He has take Apoquel successfully to handle the allergies. He warms up slowly and is very loyal and bonded once he has bonded. He would be great for a senior couple or single wanting a companion. A nice yard for him to get exercise in would be nice or someone that could have the time to take him on a couple of walks would be great. He isn’t the social butterfly that some dogs are so a matching owner would be the best fit. He would be a great dog to alert you to someone at the door or something being off in the environment. He is good on walks and would help a senior be more active. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. He could go with children but we would like them to be teens. I think a quieter home would be best for this boy. His adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. She would be a great dog for a lover of this breed. A smaller yard would be fine. Dashchund and Chihuahua are typically vocal but if you raise as a puppy and correct her by saying “no” this should help as an adult. She would be fine in a doggy daycare as she is very social. Right now, I would say she is very sweet and very cuddly. People who have had this breed love it for the loyalty to their human. She is getting spayed and all her vaccinations at the Rescue. She is ready for her forever home. She would be best in a home with someone that doesn’t work all day everyday as she will need to finish up her puppy training. She would also be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older due to her small size and trusting nature. A house with less stairs and less split levels would be best for her. She is currently in the CCPAL Rescue in Texas. ❤️ Meet Gobi: A Little Fighter with a Whole Lot of Heart! ❤️ Gobi is everything you could want in a puppy. He's sweet, loving, playful, and has the kind of puppy-dog eyes that could melt just about anyone's heart. But this little guy has already been through more than most dogs experience in a lifetime. Gobi was diagnosed with a serious heart condition called pulmonic stenosis, which made it difficult for his heart to pump blood properly. Without treatment, his future was uncertain. But thanks to the incredible veterinary team at Texas A&M, Gobi was given a second chance! Gobi recently underwent a life-changing heart procedure, and we have the BEST news: it was a success! His follow-up examination showed that his heart pressure is exactly where his cardiologist wanted it to be, and Gobi is now expected to live a long, happy, NORMAL life! While there is a small chance (approximately 10%) that the stenosis could return, his prognosis is excellent! He will need a cardiology recheck in 6–9 months and will continue his heart medication until then, but his future is looking brighter than ever. And there's just one thing missing from his happy ending… a family to share it with. Gobi has already fought so hard for his future. Now he deserves a lifetime of cozy beds, belly rubs, adventures, and unconditional love. His heart has been given a second chance. Will you be the one to give him a home? ❤️
