Story
Meet Harry & Marv ! Harry and Marv are a package deal, and once you meet them, you’ll see why. These two best friends have been by each other’s side for years and are looking for a forever home where they can stay together. Harry is an 8-year-old dachshund mix with soulful eyes and a true love language: treats. He’s sweet, gentle, and happiest when snacks are involved (or when he’s close to Marv). Harry may let his buddy take the spotlight, but he’s always nearby, ready for a cozy nap or a tasty reward. Marv is a 10-year-old terrier mix with a big personality and an even bigger grin. Known for his adorable toothy “smile”. He’s clearly proud to be Harry’s best friend. Together, Harry and Marv balance each other perfectly. They’d thrive in a calm, loving home that understands the beauty of a bonded friendship. If you’re looking to open your heart to twice the love, Harry and Marv are ready to make you their person.

Story
Welcome Mutz to CCPAL Rescue. Mutz is a 3-year-old Daug (Dachshund /Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He has an adorable underbit and has really blossomed at the Rescue. He is a quieter dog and has learned to like to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org FOSTER OR FOSTER TO ADOPT!! 🌷🐾 Meet Vienna — The Sweetest Little Soul Learning to Be Brave 🐾🌷 Female • 5 Years Old • ~18 lbs • Professional Tail Wagger Some dogs burst into your life like fireworks. Others, like Vienna, arrive more like a sunrise — gentle, quiet, and incredibly beautiful once you take the time to see it. Vienna is a 5-year-old, 18-pound sweetheart who is currently looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home that can offer her the one thing she needs most: patience. The kind of patience that understands trust takes time, but that the reward is something truly special. This little girl is one of the happiest dogs you’ll ever meet — her tail is almost always wagging, and she’ll be waiting when you come home like she’s been counting the minutes until you return. While she may be shy about asking for attention at first, Vienna has her own adorable way of showing love. When she feels safe, she’ll gently place her little head into your hand so you can rub her ears and face — her favorite thing in the world. She finds courage by watching the other dogs get love first. Safety in numbers, right? Because of that, a confident canine sibling is a must to set Vienna up for success. She absolutely loves other dogs and takes comfort in their presence. She’s playful with them, enjoys toys, and learns a lot by following their lead. And when she’s really excited? She’ll pop up onto her hind legs and give you the cutest little paw waves — like a tiny happy greeting dance. Vienna is also: 🐾 House trained 🐾 Great with other dogs 🐾 Good with cats 🐾 Non-destructive in the house 🐾 Very treat motivated In fact, if you’ve ever heard the saying “the way to someone’s heart is through their stomach,” Vienna fully agrees. Ask her “Are you ready?” and she’ll come running like it’s the best question ever invented. She loves her soft dog beds, cozy blankets on the couch, and the quiet comfort of a peaceful home. She’s not the kind of dog who will immediately jump into your lap or demand cuddles right away. But she is the kind of dog who, given time, will slowly bloom into a deeply devoted companion. Vienna is incredibly gentle, submissive, and never aggressive — just a sensitive soul who needs someone willing to let her move at her own pace. And the truth is… dogs like Vienna often become the most loyal, heart-connected companions once they realize they’re finally safe. Her perfect home will have: • A very patient and understanding family • A home without children - not because she's aggressive but that she needs a calm quiet home • At least one friendly, confident dog • A calm environment where she can build confidence • Someone who understands that the best things in life take time Because once Vienna trusts you, those little moments — the paw waves, the head resting in your hand, the happy tail waiting for you at the door — will mean absolutely everything. If you have the heart and patience to help this sweet girl continue learning that the world is a safe and loving place… 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and give Vienna the chance she’s been quietly hoping for. Sometimes the shyest hearts turn out to be the ones that love the deepest. 💛🐾
