Welcome Missy to CCPAL Rescue Foster program. Missy Gorda is a 2 -year- old Chug (Pug/Chihuahua). She weighs about 13 pounds and appears to be a good weight. She has the Pug body and is thick in the middle. She is very playful with toys. She is in a foster home with a large dog and Minnie and she does good with both. She isn’t a big shedder. She isn’t too vocal which is nice. She can use the doggy door and goes outside to do her business. She came from a hoarding situation and probably hasn’t been held much. She is a little nervous being held and has a bit of a stiff body. She loves her crate and will go to it when she is scared. The crate makes her feel safe. She is a wonderful little dog. She is really doing great in her foster home. We think the best home for Missy is a home with a partially or fully retired person or someone who has a quieter home. She would be great with someone that is more to themselves and doesn’t have a houseful of people everyday. She is a nice dog and when she is afraid she will retreat to her crate. She is getting lots of attention in her foster home and is doing great. She wouldn’t require a huge yard but a fenced one would be best for this girl. She can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is currently in Texas in foster care. She is getting her vaccinations and will be spayed soon. She can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. THEY DO NOT HAVE TO BE ADOPTED TOGETHER. Freddie and Chucky were found by a good samaritan in a box by some community mailboxes, right before Halloween. They were only 5-6 weeks old and could barely eat real food. After getting rid of all their fleas and a good meal of gruel, they began the road to a new life. It took some time to get rid of all the parasites they had inside of them, but we did not give up. Now, healthy and happy and ready to meet the world, Freddie and Chucky wait for you. They are super playful, affectionate active little boys. They love playing with other dogs and toys. Though they cannot leave until they are neutered, we are accepting applications on them. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Flopsy, a tiny, chunky, and adorable Chihuahua with a shy demeanor at first. But once he warms up to you, his excitement shines through with zoomies that will make you smile! Flopsy is looking for a home that will continue to help build his confidence and gently encourage him to step outside his comfort zone. He is not leash trained yet, but with our experienced trainers and volunteers, we are building his skills. It's unclear if he's fully potty trained, but with some training, Flopsy is eager to learn. He gets along well with other dogs, though his interaction with cats is still unknown. Flopsy's sweet personality is sure to win hearts! This dog is currently in Texas; however, he can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY, or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225.
