Story
Meet Daffodil — a little flower who’s finally learning to bloom. Daffodil is a 3–4-year-old, 17-pound pup with a heart as gentle as her name. She came from a hoarding situation and has spent the last several months discovering what it means to feel safe and loved. Her journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been remarkable to watch her grow. Daffodil is very dog-friendly and absolutely needs at least one other dog in her home — they’re her comfort, her confidence, and her teachers. A securely fenced yard is also a must, as Daffodil doesn’t yet know how to walk on a leash and finds joy in running full speed through the grass, getting the zoomies, and playing with toys. She’s not fully house trained, but she does well using puppy pads when she can’t make it outside. Daffodil has also shown potential to live peacefully with cats. Because of her past, Daffodil is wary of new people and situations. She needs a calm, patient home without a lot of noise or chaos. The first few weeks (or even months) will take understanding and consistency — but when she decides you’re one of her people, you’ll know it. She becomes affectionate, playful, and loves nothing more than burrowing under the blanket for a snuggle or inviting you to play her favorite games. Daffodil isn’t an “easy” dog — she’s a special one. She’s looking for a home that will meet her where she is and help her continue to blossom into the joyful, trusting little dog she’s meant to be.

Story
Duke is a 15-lb pug mix who has officially retired from chaos. After surviving many rough years of unpredictability, Duke has decided he’s done with nonsense and is now accepting applications for a peaceful, low-key life where his preferences are respected at all times. And yes — he has a "few" preferences. Duke is firmly in his “get off my lawn” era. He prefers: ☀ Sunshine naps (the sunnier, the better) 🛋 Sitting next to you...or on you 🛏 Sleeping in your bed (or at least in your room) 🚶 Walks, walks and more walks 🏡 A quiet home with no other animals Duke must be your one and only - he has no interest in sharing his space, his human, or his peace. He’s affectionate, loyal, and sweet — as long as you understand that he wants what he wants, when he wants it. Duke thrives with patient, understanding humans who appreciate a dog with strong opinions and a deep love for routine. He doesn’t need excitement or adventure sports. He needs consistency, calm, and a person who can laugh when he side-eyes them. Duke isn’t trying to impress anyone. He’s just looking for a soft place to land, a human who loves him and respects his boundaries, and a forever home where he can live out his golden years as he chooses. If you’re looking for a dog who will happily nap in the sun, snore in your bed, and judge you lovingly from the couch… Duke is ready to move in.

Moped is a sweet, Happy go lucky Beagle/Dachshund mix guy who is bursting with personality! He’s a certified lap dog who loves being close to his people- but don’t be surprised if he suddenly gets the zoomies while playing. He’s currently thriving in his foster home with another dog and takes his cues from his canine companions, making him a great fit for a home with another easygoing pup. Moped is crate trained, good with other dogs, and a total snuggle bug. He is a little self concious about a small benign tumor on his head, but he wants to assure you that it is completely harmless and just adds to his unique charm!
