BONDED PAIR -- Only adopting these two dogs together. We will not separate them. 2026 started off really hard on these two special boys. Introducing Blanco (white) and Shorty, a bonded pair of three year old, 10 pound, Chihuahuas seeking a new home. Their previous family lost their home and two dogs to a terrible house fire on New Years Eve, causing them to seek help for Blanco and Shorty since they had nowhere to live. Our rescue learned of the plight of this family and stepped in to help. Blanco and Shorty are initially shy but they warm up in no time. Both boys are super sweet, very affectionate dogs who love their person/people and each other. Blanco is dog social but Shorty (brown and white coat) prefers just Blanco’s company; they seem to seek each other out for emotional support. Shorty and Blanco enjoy keeping their foster mom’s lap nice and warm and are happy to cuddle with her a bit. They are thoroughly enjoying the large, securely fenced yard of their foster home where they can run and play. When it’s time to rest, they snuggle up together in the dog bed and keep each other company. Blanco and Shorty are completely housebroken; they are currently fearful of the leash so they require a securely fenced yard for potty breaks. ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Blanco and Shorty require they be the only dogs in the home. Additionally, they are approved for adult households, or adults and children over the age of 12 years. These dogs have been examined by licensed veterinarians, provided inoculations, been tested for diseases, dewormed, neutered, and microchipped.
