Story
Pinky loves life. He loves treats. He loves being held. He loves curling up in a warm lap and soaking up affection. Most of all, he loves people. This sweet little guy is incredibly affectionate and happiest when he's close to his favorite humans. His story is a heartbreaking one. When his owner passed away, her grandchildren threw Pinky and his sibling out onto the street. Eventually, they were found living in a makeshift pen, trying to survive after losing the only home they had ever known. One by one, his siblings found families of their own. Now Pinky is the last one left waiting for his turn. Despite everything he has been through, Pinky remains a joyful, loving little dog who greets each day with optimism and a wagging tail. Pinky is in great health and wonderful shape. You would never guess he was 8 years old. While he is not fully potty trained, he is making progress, and belly bands work wonderfully for him while he continues to learn. He is currently being fostered in Puerto Rico and is ready to travel to a foster or forever home anywhere in the United States. Transportation is included in his adoption fee. After losing his home and watching all of his siblings leave for families of their own, Pinky deserves a soft place to land. If you have a lap, a few treats, and room in your heart, Pinky is ready to love you forever.

Story
Hi, I’m Griswald (AKA Grizzy)!While I had a ruff start in life, I won’t let that get me down! I’m a professional wiggler and expert cuddler. Known for my dashing good looks and upbeat personality, I know I can be your new bestie!While I’m sad to say goodbye to my parents, I know this is what’s best for both me and them. During my time in Chicago, I’ve learned that I take my personal items a little too seriously and don’t always share my food or toys well with other dogs (resource guarding). I also struggle with seeing other dogs on leash (reactivity) and am not a big fan of being home alone (separation anxiety). These things combined make it hard for me to thrive in a busy city.Through working with a pro trainer I loved working for food and have developed a strong grasp of the basics, along with reactivity trainingEven though I came from an abusive home in my past, I’m still the happiest boy ever. My parents have helped me build so much confidence, and I absolutely love people.

Story
Ranger is just a magnificent dog. I really can't say that enough. He is SO loving. You kind of have to force him to stop wanting love. Which can be annoying sometimes, but honestly, if him being too loving is the most annoying thing about him, sign anyone up. He LOVES playing fetch. Especially at Chicago's dog beaches. He is super friendly with other dogs, but also just doesn't really play with other dogs that much in general. He really just wants to play fetch. He is completely house trained. Can be alone for anywhere up to 8-9 hours. I usually don't go over 6 hours. He is 3 1/2 years old. About 53 lbs. He doesn't bark while at home, unless someone bangs on the front door or something. He will do some low level growling when someone is near the door. I honestly have always liked that because it provides security. He is very loving with kids, and I think he would be REALLY suitable for a family looking to get a dog. He LOVES playing with kids. He will protect them too.
