Meet Maui! 🐾💙
Maui is a 6-week-old Chihuahua puppy who may be tiny, but he already has a big personality and an even bigger story!
Maui didn't have the easiest start in life. He was born in a car in the middle of summer, during some incredibly hot weather. His family knew they needed help and made the difficult decision to reach out for assistance.
Thankfully, the rescue stepped up, along with an amazing foster family, who gave Maui, his mom, and his siblings the safe and loving environment they needed to grow and thrive.
And thrive he has! ❤️
Maui is doing amazing and is now ready to start looking for the forever family who will continue giving him the love and care he deserves.
🐶 Meet Maui
Maui is the most outgoing of his siblings! He is curious, confident, and ready to see what the world has to offer.
This little guy loves being involved and is always ready for the next adventure. He is growing, learning, playing, and discovering the world around him with his adorable puppy personality already shining through.
Maui is currently living with his mom and siblings, where he has had the opportunity to learn important puppy social skills.
He is good with other dogs and has also been around a cat.
At only 6 weeks old, Maui is not potty trained yet. His forever family should be prepared for all the normal puppy stages—including potty training, chewing, learning boundaries, and lots of supervision.

Maui could make a wonderful companion for someone looking to add a tiny bundle of puppy love to their family.
His adopter should understand that a young puppy requires time, patience, consistency, and lots of care. Maui will need someone willing to continue helping him learn and grow into the wonderful adult dog he is meant to become.
Whether he finds a family with children, another dog, or someone looking for a little companion to spoil, Maui has so much potential.

His foster family has loved watching Maui grow and thrive, and while they are going to miss him terribly, they know it's time for this little guy to start the next chapter of his life.

Maui will be ready to leave his foster home on September 5th.
We are happy to schedule meet-and-greets in advance, with his official pickup/adoption date around September 5th.

This dog is currently located in Chicago's southwest suburbs and can be seen by appointment once an adoption application is completed and approved by the rescue. Please note that we cannot hold dogs for any reason.
Please only apply if you are ready to meet and welcome a new companion into your home within five days of approval.

Microchip registered to 24 Pet Watch for free
DHPP Vaccine series
Bordetella Vaccine
Leptospirosis Vaccine series
Rabies vaccine
4DX Heartworm test (7 months of age or older)
Spay/Neuter (performed at one of our partner veterinarians as scheduled by the rescue)
General wellness care (includes deworming, heartworm prevention, and flea/tick prevention)
