Story
I wanted to share a little bit about Sonic, aka Max or Maximus Decimus Meridius—his nickname inspired by his gladiator-like spirit when he first joined us! Max embodies everything wonderful about a puppy and truly exceeds expectations. With his buttery yellow fur and soulful dark brown eyes, he’s guaranteed to melt your heart during daily cuddle sessions. This sweet boy’s greatest joy is simply being at your side, whether he’s playing or curled up in your lap soaking up your attention and love. Max is energetic and playful, always ready for a game of tug-of-war or eager to try his paw at fetch. He’s also quite the puzzle solver and loves working to get treats out of toys or enjoying a sunbath while savoring his frozen food from a Kong bone. Despite all his puppy energy, Max has a calm side—he’ll happily lounge on the couch with you, or sit at your feet with a chew toy, whether you’re watching a movie, answering emails, or reading a book. Over the past few weeks, Max has been preparing for his next adventure—growing up and getting neutered. He’s been practicing his manners and is doing great with potty training (no accidents as long as we are paying attention and following good puppy practices- i.e., going out after naps, meals, and big play sessions). He’s mastered the art of sitting, is learning to lie down, leave things alone, and his stay and recall skills are improving every day. Bath time and pedicures are a breeze for him, which is a bonus since he loves a good romp and tends to get a little dirty! He is also doing great with walking on a harness around the yard and in the house since he still has one more set of vaccines to go and will become a walking pro-in no time as soon as he is able to truly get out and practice his walking skills. Max has shown absolutely no food aggression toward his brother, the cats, or any of us. He’s comfortable with people handling his food and treats while he eats. Mealtime happens in his crate, reinforcing that the crate is a safe and happy place, and ensuring both he and his brother get their fill. Max thrives in a family environment, getting along well with both his animal friends and humans. He’s wonderful with our two cats, loves playing with our teenage son, and is always up for some fun with his brother—until it’s time for his next nap, of course. While Max may be a bit shy with strangers at first and will bark to let you know someone is approaching, he quickly quiets when reassured and warms up to visito

Story
Slim is a 12 month (well, she turns 1 year on the 27th), 6 pound Chihuahua mix, with a charming, irrepressible personality. Slim loves to play with all toys, especially balls but will make do with any scrap lying around. She`s good on a leash and enjoys smelling the outdoors when walking. She gets along with my two dogs and my cat even though they do not want to play with her. Slim has learned to use potty pads when she needs to go and does not connect going outside as an opportunity to pee. She would do well in an apartment with a person around most of the day. Another young dog in the family would be ideal. Since she is so small, a gentle, older child should work well. Slim does have a bit of a leg issue, she had a broken leg that was not set and it healed itself and to try to fix it now would cause more problems. Right now she may hold up her leg when she gets tired but it hasn`t slowed her down one bit. She runs like the wind when given a chance. If Slim appeals to you, fill out an application on OFOSA.org. A foster will get back with you in 24 to 48 hours and set up a meet and greet. Slim has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped and her fee will be $340 after she is one year old.

Story
I’m excited to introduce you to Spartacus he truly embodies everything you could wish for in a puppy, and then some! With beautiful fur as velvety soft as a cloud and soulful dark brown eyes, Sonic will win your affection during his daily cuddle sessions. His playful sense of humor is always on display whether he’s inventing new games or simply making sure you’re smiling. Spartacus isn’t just sweet and energetic—he’s a bundle of fun who loves tug-of-war, fetch, and solving all kinds of puzzles. He’s been keeping busy lately, not only getting a little older and recently neutered, but also sharpening his manners and mastering potty training. He already knows how to sit, lay down, leave it, and his stay and recall skills are improving every day. One of Spartacus`s standout qualities is his gentle nature. He’s shown absolutely no food aggression—not toward his brother, the cats, or any humans. He’s perfectly comfortable with you handling his food and treats, even while he’s eating. Mealtime is spent in his crate, reinforcing how comfortable and happy he is in his cozy spot, and ensuring both he and his brother get all the nourishment they need. Baths and pedicures? No problem! Spartacus is a pro, which comes in handy given how much puppies love to play and get dirty. As a social butterfly, Spartacus is wonderful with both his animal and human siblings. He gets along with our two cats, loves to play endlessly with us, our teenage son, and his brother—right up until it’s time for his next nap. He’s also friendly with all visitors, adults and children alike. Spartacus is fully crate trained, sleeps soundly through the night, and thrives on his wake-nap schedule. He is doing great with his potty training and has no accidents as long as we are keeping an eye out for his cues that he needs to go out. He is also doing great with walking on a harness around the yard and in the house since he still has one more set of vaccines to go and will become a walking pro-in no time as soon as he is able to truly get out and practice his walking skills. He’s ready to become a cherished member of your family, bringing joy, laughter, and plenty of cuddles. If you’d like more information or want to meet Spartacus, please fill out the Dog Adoption Application on our Website - OFOSA.ORG and his foster mom will contact you. He still needs 1 more shot before he can go out on public ground so NO Apartments. He is chipped and neutered and his adoption fee is $380. He may be a s
