Story
Our little family fell in love with Nancy Pretzel about a year ago at the Henrico Police department annual adopt a pet event. We spent 3 hours with her not wanting to leave and we still love her today. We were told that she was found by her owners feet as he had passed away. She is LOYAL! At the time she was covered in fleas and was bald on most of her backside. She was very timid and would only come out of the cage for one volunteer the 18 days in the shelter. She came right to our family and we fell in love. Over time she has made huge strides, growing back her hair, learning to take walks and even coming up the stairs. She is energetic and loves a good walk/run. She will go anywhere with you. She loves riding in the car but is still a bit too timid to put her face in the wind. She is very chill throughout the day. She loves to play fetch and tug a war! She is great with girls but young energetic boys are not her thing.

Adopted from a rescue about 10 years ago We live in a house with a fenced in yard out in the country for most of that time. I moved to Richmond for a job and they don’t love apartment life. I think it would be better if I could be with them more but I work long hours. Sweet dogs but do bark quite a bit.

Story
Nimh is an absolute treasure! She's smart, funny, and just wants to be close to her people. At 12 pounds, she's the perfect small dog. Nimh does not like when strangers reach over her head (who can blame her?) but loves meeting new women. She generally prefers women to men. (she has met men she likes, but they need to let her come to them). No cats or small children for this little girl. She really wants to be the only dog in the home (big dogs are scary!) She is up to date on all shots and heartworm preventatives. Nimh will come with everything you need (food, harness and leash, heartworm preventative, poop bags, shampoo, treats, car seat, all the toys, and more!)
