Story
Meet Jasmine (A850675)! Brought to PACC as a stray, she didn’t thrive in the shelter environment, but she’s happy and gaining confidence in a foster home. Jasmine loves other dogs, walks, getting belly rubs, snoozing in the sun, and trying to get her new dog friend Molly to zoom with her. Jasmine is playful, affectionate, gentle, silly, easy-going, and well-behaved. She greets every day with a waggy tail and eagerness to spend time and play with people and dogs.Jasmine is fully housebroken, has excellent house manners, and is generally relaxed indoors unless it’s time to screen mail deliveries! She is a bit hesitant around cars and new people, is leery of being corralled, and needs to be homed with people who respect her initial boundaries. She also gets anxious when people leave the house, although she is not destructive. She is working on some basic commands and leash manners. If interested in learning more and meeting Jasmine (and who wouldn`t be?), please email pacc.adoptafoster@pima.gov.

Gold stars, gold medals, gold jewelry, gold goblets, gold thrones, gold Buddhas… Across cultures and continents gold is highly valued and represents prestige, winning, divinity and wealth. We have to say that if you get the chance to meet Bella Gold, you’ll be winning the day! She’s an absolute gem- here’s what staff and volunteers at the shelter have said:“I am a fairly new dog walker at PACC, and Bella Gold was a dream dog to be one of my first walks. She was very easy to leash up and walked very calmly. She was also non-reactive to dogs that we passed by. Getting her back into her kennel was a breeze, too. Overall, Bella Gold has a very sweet temperament and easygoing nature. She reminds me of a cuddly teddy bear - in both looks and personality.”“I took Bella out for a meet and greet with a family. She was very excited and seemed to be skipping, prancing, strutting while we walked down the sidewalk. The family met her-three kids of various ages. They were following her around and touching her all over. She had spurts of playful bouncing around- SUPER CUTE!”Bella needs to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit, or would be happy to hog al of your attention for herself as your one and only. What do gems, jewels and first place medals have in common? They’re as sought after as our amazing Bella Gold ought to be! Come meet her and see what a true treasure she is!

Story
Shoto is a goofy puppy who lived in one home his whole life before being surrendered to PACC. He reportedly did well with kiddos and was described by his former people as affectionate, playful, adorable and sweet. At under a year old, Shoto would love to finish growing up in a loving home- the shelter is no place for a puppy! During a short- term foster stay Shoto did great with kids ages 9-16 and did well with a resident senior dog. He was housebroken and crate trained and adapted quickly to his new environment. Shoto’s foster described him as sweet, cuddly, playful and protective and said that he’ll thrive in an active family. Here`s what some of Shoto’s friends at the shelter have said:“I met Shoto for the first time today and he is a wonderful young puppy! At less than a year old, he has all of the classic puppy characteristics- he’s bouncy, energetic, curious, clumsy, adorable! Adorable, adorable! He’s a stealth snuggler, meaning he might not show how cuddly he is right away, but when I knelt down on the ground, he came over, leaned into me and allowed me to pet him gently all over his body. He was happy to sit next to me and snuggle for a few minutes before he went off to explore again. He’s a great combination of an independent spirit and a people-oriented guy.”“Shoto is a happy pup who is always excited to leave the kennel. He’s bouncy but easy to leash. Today he was so excited to get to the play yard that he did three zoomie laps immediately. So cute!”Shoto shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been playful, social and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. Ask to meet Shoto today!

Story
Bruno Madrigal is a character in the Disney musical, Encanto. He is misunderstood for most of his life but eventually comes into his own and helps to save the magic in his family home. We have a little pup named Bruno who can relate to being misunderstood. Our Bruno is a sensitive pup and the shelter is a pretty scary place for him. While he may appear standoffish when you meet him, we think that he is just biding his time until he can get outta the noisy shelter and settle in with a kind and patient family. His volunteer friends are cheering him on, sharing the following:“Bruno is shy but very sweet. He does great in a play yard with his kennelmate and he accepts some light petting after.” “Bruno is a courageous, sensitive sweetie. We took him out to a play yard and he spent his time exploring. I sat on the ground and his kennelmate came over to me for pets. Bruno was very curious and came over to me, taking treats and allowing me to boop his little nose!”Bruno shares his kennel another PACC pup and has been easygoing and tolerant when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home and would likely benefit from having a friendly, confident doggy buddy to help show him the ropes. Bruno is looking for an adopter who will appreciate his need to take things slow and won’t rush him as he acclimates to a new home and family. Bruno Madrigal said “You can’t rush the future.” If you’re a believer in taking things slow and giving a sensitive guy a chance at a beautiful future, come meet Bruno!
