About CinderellaCinderella 🐾❤️ is a Chowsky (Chow/Husky mix) with a big personality and a loving heart once she trusts you. She is smart, playful, and deeply loyal to her people. Please read fully before contacting. She needs an experienced, patient, confident adopter familiar with independent breeds. She is cautious with strangers and needs time—never rushed. She has a history of stress in a prior adoption where she snapped/nipped at the adopter multiple times and was returned the same day. No serious injury occurred, but she may nip or bite if frightened, overwhelmed, or not yet trusting. She is NOT suitable for inexperienced owners or those uncomfortable with dogs who need structure and space.Once bonded, she is affectionate, playful, and devoted.Serious, experienced inquiries only. I am seeking a permanent, understanding home willing to earn her trust patiently. ❤️🐾

Story
About Roddy 🐾❤️ Roddy is a sweet, affectionate 1-year-old pup born July 28, 2025. He is playful, friendly, and full of love! He loves cuddling, going on walks, playing with other dogs, and does well around cats. Roddy is the type of dog who wants to be close to his person and will happily become your little shadow. ❤️ Roddy does have separation anxiety, so he needs a patient and understanding adopter. He becomes very attached, doesn’t enjoy being crated or left alone, and may howl when separated. He would do best with someone who is home often and willing to patiently help him become more comfortable and secure. Roddy needs companionship, consistency, exercise, reassurance, and lots of affection. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving best friend and have the patience and time to give him the attention he needs, Roddy may be perfect for you. ❤️🐾 Serious inquiries only.

Jax is a loyal, playful pup that wants to please his owner. He’s been a family dog since we adopted him at 3 months. His birthday is 4/4/2025. He does need some training to help him with barking/jumping and pulling on his leash when walking. Story
Name: Dot aka Koda (Nicknames - Koda Nick or Koda Bear)Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler/Chow Chow MixSex/Age/Weight: Female/DOB 11-29-20/55 lbs.Vetting: Spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative and on preventatives.House/Crate Trained: Yes/Yes. Koda loves her crate! When it comes to nap time or settling in for the evening Koda goes right in for a snooze.Dogs/Cats/Children: Yes/No/Yes. Koda does very well with medium to large sized dogs and has two furry siblings she loves to wrestle with. She is not comfortable with smaller dogs and cats so it is best that she be the one and only or have a medium to large size dog to hang out with. She loves children of all ages especially when she can cuddle up with them and get belly rubs.Training: Koda is working on her commands and manners. She knows sit, down, and paw, and walks great on a leash. She will need someone to continue to train her so she can be the best girl for you!Working on: Koda is quite the snuggle bunny and sometimes thinks she is a lap dog. She is learning that you can cuddle with your humans without sitting on their lap. She can be vocal about things she wants - dinner, attention, etc., She is an American Idol in the making and is in the process of learning to sing silently and will need someone to continue teaching her it is okay to sing to yourself. Koda has trust issues when it comes to dinner time and prefers to enjoy her meal in her crate. Her foster family is slowly introducing her to others at meal time. Things I like: People! She loves to be around her humans. Snuggling up with them is one of her favorite pastimes. When she is not cuddling up, you will find her playing and running around in the backyard with her siblings or having fun time in the water.Things I don’t like: Being alone or ignored for long periods of time. Koda would love someone who works from home or who is only gone from home for short periods of time. As much as she loves playing in the water, bath time is not her favorite. She doesn’t understand it helps keep her beautiful coat from shedding so much. She will need a daily brushing to help with her shedding as well. Ideal home: Koda would do best where she can get lots of exercise, play time, and attention. A family who has time to be committed to her would be best, preferably with a backyard where she she could hang out with a furry sibling (medium to large sized dogs only). If you are interested in giving Dot aka Koda a forever home, please visit the link below to fill out an application! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html It is best to submit an application through a computer. Story
StetsonAmerican Staffordshire Terrier / Chow ChowGender: maleDOB: 6/05/2021Adoption Fee: $200 Stetson is a happy, friendly dog that thinks everyone is there to pet and play with him. Stetson is looking for a family to call his own. He adores people and wants nothing more than to please and be near the ones he loves. He seems to be friendly towards other dogs with similar energy levels and has not been tested with small dogs and cats. Stetson was adopted from us in 2023 and was left in a very upsetting situation. Stetson is now at the Rescue Ranch and is safe now. We want to make sure this boy gets the home he deserves, where he doesn't have to worry about being left behind. This boy deserves a home with a fenced yard, a loving family ( like all dogs should have) and lot's of playtime. He is a sweet boy and just wants someone to love him too. Please meet this boy and give him his FOREVER.Please read the animal bios completely before requesting additional information as we do our best to answer the most frequently ask questions in these bios. In order to adopt one of our animals an application must be submitted and approved. You can find these applications by going to http://humanemorgan.org/index.php?page=adoption ABOUT ADOPTING FROM THE HSMC: The shelter address is 1170 Fairground Rd. Madison, GA 30650. For more information on any of our pets, please feel free to email us at INFO@HUMANEMORGAN.ORG give us a call at 706-343-9977. All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are current on vaccines/deworming, and microchipped. We are open 12pm-5pm Sunday-Friday and 10 am-5pm on Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. If you have any questions please email us at info@humanemorgan.org and provide name of the animal you are interested in, in the subject line.
