Meet China and Toast, a pair of stunning Chow Chows looking for new homes! These girls were surrendered through no fault of their own, and they are now searching for an experienced owner who appreciates the unique nature of their breed. Unfortunately, they arrived with severe matting, and we were forced to partially shave their coats.Toast is a two-year-old sweetheart who is quite shy but friendly once she has had time to adjust to new people and spaces. She is looking for a patient person who will give her the time and love she needs to settle in. China is a four-year-old gal who needs a confident person to help her work through her tougher shell. She is wary of new people and needs time to socialize and adjust. Since her trust is earned over time, she will also need plenty of love and patience.These girls will be incredible companions, but since they missed out on some early socialization, they need an owner who is committed to helping them grow their confidence. Their previous owners noted that they are both housebroken and are wonderful at staying within a yard`s perimeter. They both lived with cats and various kinds of poultry, and do well with other dogs after a slow introduction.Because China is wary of strangers and Toast is so sensitive, they are looking for quiet, adult-only homes with no children.Both of these girls are spayed, microchipped, and up to date on their vaccines. They`re both ready to go home, but Toast has some ongoing issues with her eyes that our vet would like to continue monitoring. You can visit China and Toast at The Babinski Foundation Tuesdays through Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or Sundays from 12:00 to 5:00 PM.

Sinclair is a 3-year-old, 55-pound Chow Chow and Shepherd mix who was rescued from a difficult hoarding situation. When he was first rescued, he was struggling with a flea infestation, inflamed skin, and thinning hair. Despite his rough start, Sinclair is an incredibly loving boy with all of our staff and visitors.He has been fully treated for fleas, his coat has grown back in so well, and he is ready to start his new life! He would be the perfect fit for a medium energy home where he can romp around outside, then chill with his people for lazy afternoon naps.Sinclair has made a few dog friends here at the shelter, but he would prefer a meet and greet with any dogs you have at home. Because of his background, he can be a little shy with brand new people. He’s looking for someone who can be patient as he opens up, learns some basics, and masters potty training.Sinclair is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. You can visit him at the shelter Tuesdays through Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or Sundays from 12:00 to 5:00 PM.
