Story
Shasta is a two-year-old Chow Chow and was surrendered by her owner (no fault of her own) with another male Chow Chow (Kuma). Her owner states she's housebroken, playful, good with men / women / dogs / cats--but hasn't been exposed to children. Shasta's a bit cautious around strangers, and her world was just turned upside down--so give her a chance to warm up to you!

Story
Kuma is a 4-year-old registered Chow Chow who was surrendered by his owner (no fault of his) with another Chow Chow by the name of Shasta. His previous owner reports he's good with men, women, dogs, cats, and that he's playful and housebroken--but has not been exposed to children. He can be a bit shy with strangers initially, and of course--his world has just been turned upside down. Please give Kuma a chance to warm up to you when he meets you for the first time!

Not good with cats,
Story
I知 not a fan of cats, so I would prefer to live in a home without any. - TJ Dogs are usually tested with other dogs their size, and we encourage meet-and-greets with your dog before adoption. Cat tests are available if requested, but they only check for clear aggression. Always be careful when introducing dogs to cats. Advice about dogs living with children is based on behavior like energy level and how the dog handles touch. Young children should never be left alone with dogs, and we cannot guarantee how any dog will behave with kids or other pets. Behavior seen in the shelter is just a snapshot and may change in a home. Dogs come from many backgrounds and may need training, time, and patience. Dogs should not be fed together unless you know they do not guard food. We also suggest learning about a dog's breed or mix to be sure it fits your family. Moving to a new home can be stressful for dogs. Use the Rule of 3 to help them adjust: First 3 days: Dogs may feel scared, tired, overexcited, or not want to eat. First 3 weeks: Dogs start learning routines and may show new behaviors. Keep things calm and avoid busy places. First 3 months: Dogs usually feel settled and more comfortable. Story
Meet Koda, a 3-year-old Chow Chow with a calm, gentle nature. He lived with a toddler in his previous home and is housebroken, quiet, and well-mannered. Koda greets people with a soft tail wag and enjoys the company of other dogs, though he prefers to relax rather than play. He loves cuddling, walks beautifully on leash, and rides well in the car. Koda also does great for vet care and grooming, making him an easygoing and loyal companion.

Story
Bear is a 3-year-old, 46lb Chow Chow who’s ready for a fresh start and a life full of comfort and care. He’s dog-friendly, good with children, and has a calm, steady presence that makes him an easy companion. Bear came from a home with over 35 dogs, so he’s had quite the journey to get here. Despite that, he’s adapted well and is showing us just how resilient and deserving he is of a better life. He is house trained, walks nicely on a leash, and does great for grooming—even after needing to be shaved down when he first arrived due to the condition of his coat. Bear does have some food aggression, so he will need to be fed separately from other dogs. With proper management, this is very easy to handle and doesn’t take away from what a great dog he is. This boy is ready to leave his past behind and finally experience what it means to be truly loved and cared for.

Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
He is sweet when comfortable. He really likes to go outside, the downside to that is he like to runaway any chance he gets. I’m in college and my mom is getting old she can’t handle him since him getting bigger and stronger. He can be a little aggressive depending on who you are which is a downside to adopting him also that I am requesting an experienced owner. He loves to be rubbed on and to lick, and also love’s ear whatever you are eating.
