He is crate trained, potty trained, knows basic commands, walks well on a leash, and enjoys long walks, bird watching from the window, brushing sessions, belly rubs (when he asks for them), and plenty of treats. Around his family, Bao is gentle, quiet, and loves to relax nearby while still enjoying his independent Chow nature.I am looking for an experienced Chow Chow owner who truly understands the breed’s unique temperament, independence, and need for patience and structure. A home without children is strongly preferred, as Bao thrives in a calm, predictable environment. He would do best with someone who can continue building his confidence through positive reinforcement and provide the routine, love, and breed-specific knowledge he deserves. Bao is an incredible companion for the right person and has so much love to give once he forms a bond.

We first met him when he was wandering on his own, and after a couple of patient weeks of gaining his trust, he let his guard down. And wow, once he did, his tail wouldn't stop wagging. This gentle guy isn't hyper or demanding. He's happiest simply being near his people. He enjoys poking around outside, taking in all the smells, but he's just as content to lounge nearby. Rocco's smart too. He's picking things up quickly. Most of all, he seems grateful for kindness and for a safe spot to just be a dog. He gets very excited about breakfast and dinner and lovesss hugs! He's got such a loving heart and really just wants to belong. Rocco gets along with other dogs and is gentle with kids.
