Story
Chow Lovers.....Meet Perfection! Brittney is a 35 pound tiny chow who is about three years old. She turned up pregnant in a trailer park in NC and that's something we can identify with. Having been described as "hating every person in the trailer park but one" we knew that Britteny was a kindred spirit. Since making her way to ADA, We haven't seen the trash talking side of Brittney that was described to us. Yes, she did need a couple of days to trust her foster mother but that is typical of most chows. We would describe Brittney as a well adjusted little lady! She is great with other dogs, has good manners and is affectionate to the people she knows. She loves walks and to run zippies in the yard. She's not above chasing deer and most likely needs a home without cats, chickens and bunny rabbies and other bite sized nuggets. We sure do love Brittney but want her to move on to the life she has dreamed of and deserves. Brittney has put in her order for a home with a fenced in yard, at lease one other nice dog for her to play with and owner who has experience with chow chows. She's going to melt the heart of and be the perfect new addition to one lucky chow loving family! Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster-based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
