You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.If you have not had a chance to meet Jackson and his twin sister named Natalie, you are really missing out! These two were brought to the shelter after their owner was unable to sell them. It’s always sad when puppies are generated for the benefit of $$, but  these two are highly adoptable because of their charm and their amazing coats! if you love, German shepherds, but don’t love cleaning up clumps of hair 24/7, these are the dogs for you. We hope you will stop by and visit these puppies, because they are growing fast and will soon be way too big to fit in a simple kennel run  at the Campbell County shelter. Although you can’t easily identify chowchow or German Shepherd in the mix, once we get them out to play, we see the body type is more in keeping with a chowchow, and there could be just a wee, teeny bit of stubbornness and devotion that we would also see in a chowchow. The intelligence and willingness to play hard is definitely in the German Shepherd side of both! hopefully you will come by and see them soon!   PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. This big fluffy guy came from a very loving home with a good upbringing and good training. He sadly had to be rehomed due to unforeseen circumstances. He loves car rides and running and playing outside. He has good house manners and is a perfect gentleman when left home alone. FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee of $350 Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. The votes are IN and we ARE the WINNERS!! Found at the side of a country road (very common dumping ground, next to the railroad tracks), and saved by a wonderful "foster" and her husband and son and other doggy friends :) We started living like REAL loved puppies the day she saved us!! We are learning potty training and are crate trained experts!! We are leash training as well, but you have to understand.... we were never loved, never lived IN a home and NEVER had ANYONE CARE!!! So, potty trained or not, we are over the moon (and so is our foster mom). But now it is time to find our furever homes! We love and play very well together and would be ideal as a pair, but do NOT have to be adopted together. We need another calm and confident dog to keep us happy/played with and to teach us all we need to know about being loved pups :) We are gorgeous pups and our coats will accent your hair :) ADOPT...DON'T SHOP!!! Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

*hair blowing in the wind (even though she's indoors)* *unexplained sparkles in the air* *faint heavenly music* Yes, she is me. Chloe. Now that you are blinded by my beauty, let me explain why I am the absolute best girl on the inside too and so deserving of your (and everyone's) undivided adoration. I'm loyal, smart as a whip, and FUN, just to name a few. Unfortunately, I didn't come from the most glamorous beginnings. I was an outdoor doggy with not much interaction from birth and my family also left me behind when they moved. Thus, I wasn't really brought up interacting with you humans or being touched/handled. I've had my quirks while adjusting to being a family dog and will definitely need someone patient and understanding with me. (If you get too touchy right away, I don't like that and will try to protect myself.) However, if you are slow and gain my trust I will HANG on your every move. I have adjusted very quickly in the past with proper introductions to people. Even still, I would probably do best in a home without young children. I'm a lady after all and need time to sniff you out before you get grabby. I am an active girl and love to feel the wind in my hair outdoors too. I run with the speed of light and have a prey drive to sniff out bugs, lizards and more. I also love to play tug of war and fetch with my foster mommy inside. I bounce, bounce, bounce all the time! I am great on leash so walks and hikes would be great for me. Getting my energy out will help me focus on training too. I am very smart and learn quickly, but tend to lose interest if I'm still chock full of go, go, go!! With all of this perfection, all of your pet needs should be fulfilled, right? RIGHT? I hope so because I would do great as an only pet in the home. I have been able to co-exist with dogs at the rescue but I am a bit of a diva in my foster home. I have a domineering personality sometimes and will even mark like a male when I come across another dog's scent in my house. How dare they??? Existing? HERE? (She is otherwise house trained.) Considering that you and I know each other a little better now, you may pet me. Yes, I am very soft, I know. Please keep in mind that I am a Chow/shepherd mix and have hair that will require brushing, maybe even the occasional spa treatment, Swedish massage, 24k gold facials...yeahhhhhhhhhh.... Sorry! I forgot you were here. In all seriousness, once I trust you, I will allow you to brush me out without much fuss. It doesn't need to be daily but I am a rough and tumble kinda gal and can use help keeping my locks flowing and free. I also shed so if I seem to be losing my girlish figure, it's probably just extra hair that needs to be brushed off. I hope you have a strong vacuum. ;) I could go on for days about myself, but I'll stop here. Don't wanna overwhelm you.
