Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Two year old brothers Saint and Bane loved playtime together on Thursday! these boys have very different personalities. Saint, wearing the wide red collar is more outgoing and confident than his brother. And we noted that he wants ALL the attention when humans are around, and tried to run interference between his brother and the humans. It’s behavior often seen in dogs that are siblings. And it’s one reason we don’t encourage people to keep siblings together. We love seeing each dog blossom and not feel inhibited by a sibling. The positive here is that we’re not seeing any kind of corrections to one another, as the boys are still young enough to be amiable, and easy to handle. But it will be important for them to be neutered quickly, and we would love to see them adopted into separate homes.   They are two years old, intact, and are a challenging mix of breeds: chow/husky/German Shepherd. (All three of these breeds go downhill quickly in the shelter setting.) We understand they lived with one other dog, and were indoor pets. So far they appear to be social enough with new volunteers. If you are looking for a beautiful dog, and love any of these breeds, perhaps one of them would be the one for you.   PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. For questions about the pet, please email us at FOACinfo@gmail.com. All adoptions begin with an application, found under the "Animals" tab on our website, friendsofcampbellcounty.org. *Unaltered babies under the age of six months can be adopted only to residents of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, and counties touching Campbell County. *Unaltered adult pets six months or older will need to be sterilized before they can be adopted outside our local area of Campbell County, the City of Lynchburg, or counties touching Campbell. *We do not promote dog adoptions to homes where an invisible fence is the fencing of choice. *We do not permit cats or kittens to be declawed following adoption.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 28, 2024, 4:57 pm

🎶 Come on Down and let Cha-Cha slidddde into your heart! 🎵 This floofanooter was originally found as a stray and sadly, never claimed. He is officially ready for bigger and better things in life and is looking for a family to love! 💕 We estimate Cha Cha is 2-3 years old and a Chow mix. He has done well with other dogs but meet and greets are always required! Please keep in mind, he is considered large, has a lot of floof to groom and his particular breed is one to do some research on! We have found Cha-Cha absolutely ADORES his people once he is comfortable, knows basic commands and is happy to go for a long walk or hunker down for a cuddle. Please consider calling to meet Cha-Cha at 804-520-9397 (option #5) to reach directly to the shelter. You can also message us directly for any additional questions!

Story
*hair blowing in the wind (even though she's indoors)* *unexplained sparkles in the air* *faint heavenly music* Yes, she is me. Chloe. Now that you are blinded by my beauty, let me explain why I am the absolute best girl on the inside too and so deserving of your (and everyone's) undivided adoration. I'm loyal, smart as a whip, and FUN, just to name a few. Unfortunately, I didn't come from the most glamorous beginnings. I was an outdoor doggy with not much interaction from birth and my family also left me behind when they moved. Thus, I wasn't really brought up interacting with you humans or being touched/handled. I've had my quirks while adjusting to being a family dog and will definitely need someone patient and understanding with me. (If you get too touchy right away, I don't like that and will try to protect myself.) However, if you are slow and gain my trust I will HANG on your every move. I have adjusted very quickly in the past with proper introductions to people. Even still, I would probably do best in a home without young children. I'm a lady after all and need time to sniff you out before you get grabby. I am an active girl and love to feel the wind in my hair outdoors too. I run with the speed of light and have a prey drive to sniff out bugs, lizards and more. I also love to play tug of war and fetch with my foster mommy inside. I bounce, bounce, bounce all the time! I am great on leash so walks and hikes would be great for me. Getting my energy out will help me focus on training too. I am very smart and learn quickly, but tend to lose interest if I'm still chock full of go, go, go!! With all of this perfection, all of your pet needs should be fulfilled, right? RIGHT? I hope so because I would do great as an only pet in the home. I have been able to co-exist with dogs at the rescue but I am a bit of a diva in my foster home. I have a domineering personality sometimes and will even mark like a male when I come across another dog's scent in my house. How dare they??? Existing? HERE? (She is otherwise house trained.) Considering that you and I know each other a little better now, you may pet me. Yes, I am very soft, I know. Please keep in mind that I am a Chow/shepherd mix and have hair that will require brushing, maybe even the occasional spa treatment, Swedish massage, 24k gold facials...yeahhhhhhhhhh.... Sorry! I forgot you were here. In all seriousness, once I trust you, I will allow you to brush me out without much fuss. It doesn't need to be daily but I am a rough and tumble kinda gal and can use help keeping my locks flowing and free. I also shed so if I seem to be losing my girlish figure, it's probably just extra hair that needs to be brushed off. I hope you have a strong vacuum. ;) I could go on for days about myself, but I'll stop here. Don't wanna overwhelm you. If you think you are up for the challenge of a total spitfire like me, please feel free to send in an application and foster mommy can tell you more about all of the grandeur that is...CHLOE. Story
https://foha.org/pet/ashland2021/ Hello world! I'm Ashland! One look at my sweet face and my adorably silly ears, I promise you'll fall in love. I'm a sweet southern gentleman who loves a nice stroll through the woods. I walk nicely with a harness and love exploring. I love adventures and car rides. I'm the perfect passenger and will look out the window or lay down in the back seat. I may even poke my head up front to give you a kiss. I know "sit" and "down" and will do both happily and even without a treat! Since I can be a little shy, I do best with a slow introduction. Once I warm up and trust (doesn't take too long especially with some yummy treats and a gentle touch), I love with my whole heart. I'll lean in for snuggles and belly rubs. And I'll be all tail wags. I've even been known to do some zoomies when I get excited to see my favorite people. I will be best in a home with no kids under 10 years old. And I'd really love to be the only dog for you to love. I can be reactive in new situations so living in a condo, apartment or townhouse are not recommended. I'm really good at letting you know if I'm feeling uncomfortable and my usual happy wagging tail will droop. I prefer to live a nice quiet life. City life isn't my style. I do hope that I can become your new best friend! If you have a nice house with a fenced in yard I would be so happy! Submit an application and come on out to meet me!
