Story
MEET ERNIE!! Ernie is a senior Pug/Chihuahua mix with a heart full of love and a soul that’s ready to relax into retirement. At 35 pounds, this silver-faced sweetheart spends most of his day lounging in his cozy dog bed or curled up near his favorite humans. He’s all about affection and snacks—though he could stand to lay off the treats just a bit to stay healthy! Ernie is hard of hearing and has some arthritis, but he’s otherwise a healthy guy. He’s house-trained, uses a doggy door, and gets along well with children and other dogs. Ernie is a gentle, affectionate presence and would thrive in a calm home where someone is around most of the day to keep him company. If you’re ready to give a sweet senior his golden years in comfort and love, Ernie just might be your perfect match. Ready to meet Ernie? Story
MEET ARCHIE!  Archie is a 4-year-old, 17 pound Chihuahua mix with a big personality wrapped in a little body. He’s energetic, affectionate, and full of love — once he trusts you. Like many small dogs, Archie is a bit wary of strangers and needs time to warm up, but when he does, he bonds deeply and becomes an incredibly loyal companion. He’s house trained, kennel trained, walks well on leash, and loves his daily outings. Archie would do best in a home without cats or children and thrives in a calm, predictable environment. He lives with small and big dogs and gets along with both. He just needs a proper introduction period when meeting new dogs. Archie is not a fan of car rides and is happiest just hanging out at home with his person. He’s the perfect match for a quiet household with one or two adults who understand and respect his need for space when new people visit. He may need to be kenneled during guest visits, and he’s okay with that! Archie Would Thrive In a Home With: • One or two calm, dog-savvy adults • A secure, fenced yard (6 ft required) • No kids or cats • A stable environment without frequent visitors Archie is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and available for adoption in the East Valley. Story
Meet PIP #2! Pip is a little girl with a big personality and an even bigger love for fun. She's an active, fun-loving pup who is always ready for her next play session or adventure. Pip's two favorite things in the world are her chewy treats and playing with her foster sisters. She has a very high play drive and will go and go for hours before she's ready to settle, so she'd be best matched with at least one other dog around her size or slightly larger who truly loves to wrestle, chase, and play as much as she does. A calm or low-energy dog will likely find her to be a bit too much. Pip is very clever and curious, and if given the chance, she would happily dash off to explore the world. She will need a secure, well-fenced yard and a structured environment to help keep her safe. She is little and incredibly fast, so it's important that her new family is vigilant about doors, gates, and any potential escape routs.  Pip is house trained and crate trained. However, she doesn't know how to walk nicely on a leash yet. She will need someone patient and willing to teach her the basic skills and manners. The good news is she is eager to learn. With consistency, positive reinforcement, and some time, she'll blossom into an even more wonderful companion. Because of her energy level, and her current discomfort around kids, Pip needs an adult only home. She is looking for a family who has time to spend with her, will keep her mentally and physically engaged, and will enjoy her silly antics and affectionate heart. If you're looking for a lively, clever little sidekick and have a playful resident dog for her to share zoomies and long play sessions with, Pip might be the perfect new member of your family.June 22, 2026, 3:50 pm
