Story

Falafel is a young Puggle mix with a sweet personality and a whole lot of potential. At about a year old, he's just beginning to discover how good life can be. When Falafel arrived, he was underweight at only 12 pounds and should be closer to 16 pounds. He's now getting the care he deserves and is on his way to reaching a healthy weight. He will also be fully vetted and neutered before adoption. Falafel can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give him a couple of days and his affectionate, gentle nature starts to shine through. It's clear that he didn't have many opportunities to learn about the world in his previous home, so he's looking for a patient adopter who can help build his confidence and teach him the things every young dog should know. He came into rescue with his mother and brother, but we believe Falafel would thrive with the opportunity to have his own person and receive plenty of one-on-one attention. With kindness, consistency, and a little guidance, this lovable boy is sure to blossom into a wonderful companion. Story

Chico is a tiny 15-year-old Chihuahua with a big heart packed into his 4-pound frame. He was deeply loved by his original family, who made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to surrender him when circumstances changed. This sweet little gentleman still enjoys the simple things in life: cozy naps, mealtimes, leisurely strolls outside, and following his favorite people from room to room. He'll even let you know when it's time to head outside for a potty break. Every now and then, he gets a little pep in his step that reminds everyone age is just a number. Like many senior dogs, Chico's hearing and vision aren't perfect, but he gets around quite well. He's used to being carried up and down stairs and currently eats prescription wet food due to a history of bladder stones. Chico can be startled by active dogs racing around him, but he's comfortable with other dogs once he's had time to settle in and get acquainted. Because of this, a quiet adult-only home would be his ideal match. Meet Matzoh Ball! This adorable little Puggle mix is around 2 to 3 years old and weighs about 15 pounds. Matzoh Ball has spent much of her young life having puppies, and now it's finally her turn to be loved, spoiled, and cherished. She's a sweet girl who can be a little shy when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly. Once she trusts you, she'll happily curl up in your lap, shower you with kisses, and become your loyal little shadow. Matzoh Ball loves being close to her person and is happiest when she's by your side. She's been fine around other dogs so far, but we've only recently welcomed her into rescue and are still getting to know her. We'll share more updates about her personality and preferences as we learn them. Matzoh Ball is currently getting fully vetted and will soon be ready to start the next chapter of her life with a family of her own.
