Story
Hummus is a young Puggle mix with a sweet personality and a whole lot of potential. At about a year old, he's just beginning to discover how good life can be. When Hummus arrived, he was underweight at only 12 pounds and should be closer to 16 pounds. He's now getting the care he deserves and is on his way to reaching a healthy weight. He will also be fully vetted and neutered before adoption. Hummus can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give him a couple of days and his affectionate, gentle nature starts to shine through. It's clear that he didn't have many opportunities to learn about the world in his previous home, so he's looking for a patient adopter who can help build his confidence and teach him the things every young dog should know. He came into rescue with his mother and brother, but we believe Hummus would thrive with the opportunity to have his own person and receive plenty of one-on-one attention. With kindness, consistency, and a little guidance, this lovable boy is sure to blossom into a wonderful companion. If you're looking for a sweet young dog who is ready for a fresh start and eager to learn, Hummus may be the perfect match. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. Meet Matzoh Ball! This adorable little Puggle mix is around 2 to 3 years old and weighs about 15 pounds. Matzoh Ball has spent much of her young life having puppies, and now it's finally her turn to be loved, spoiled, and cherished. She's a sweet girl who can be a little shy when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly. Once she trusts you, she'll happily curl up in your lap, shower you with kisses, and become your loyal little shadow. Matzoh Ball loves being close to her person and is happiest when she's by your side. She's been fine around other dogs so far, but we've only recently welcomed her into rescue and are still getting to know her. We'll share more updates about her personality and preferences as we learn them. Matzoh Ball is currently getting fully vetted and will soon be ready to start the next chapter of her life with a family of her own. If you're looking for a loving companion who will reward your kindness with endless affection, Matzoh Ball may be the perfect match. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Story
Meet Billy Jean! I’m a very sweet and gentle 1 and 1/2 -year-old Puggle/Chihuahua mix with long, elegant legs. I weigh just 18 pounds, ! I came from a situation with lots of other dogs, so no one knows my exact mix—but everyone agrees I’m 100% adorable. At first I can be a little shy and scared when meeting new people, but every day I’m getting braver and learning how wonderful life can be. What I’d love most is a patient and loving home to adjust a. normal home , with plenty of cuddles and kindness. Another friendly stable dog is required ,—they can help show me how fun life is in a real home! Spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and ready for adoption. Apply here to adopt Billy Jean: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/POSH/Dog

Story
Chico is a tiny 15-year-old Chihuahua with a big heart packed into his 4-pound frame. He was deeply loved by his original family, who made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to surrender him when circumstances changed. This sweet little gentleman still enjoys the simple things in life: cozy naps, mealtimes, leisurely strolls outside, and following his favorite people from room to room. He'll even let you know when it's time to head outside for a potty break. Every now and then, he gets a little pep in his step that reminds everyone age is just a number. Like many senior dogs, Chico's hearing and vision aren't perfect, but he gets around quite well. He's used to being carried up and down stairs and currently eats prescription wet food due to a history of bladder stones. Chico can be startled by active dogs racing around him, but he's comfortable with other dogs once he's had time to settle in and get acquainted. Because of this, a quiet adult-only home would be his ideal match. If you're looking for a devoted companion who asks for little more than love, comfort, and a soft place to nap, Chico may be the perfect addition to your family. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Story
Thumbelina is a 5 year old French Bulldog who is learning that life can be safe and kind again. After her owner left her behind with a neighbor and never returned, she ended up sitting in a cage at animal control. We couldn’t leave her there, so she’s now safe with our rescue and getting fully vetted. This sweet little girl is good with other dogs, rides nicely in the car, and walks well on a leash. She’s also a huge foodie and gets adorably excited for meals and treats. Once she feels comfortable, her playful and loving personality starts to shine through. Thumbelina does take a little time to trust new people. She isn’t a dog who wants a lot of handling right away and prefers to warm up at her own pace. Because of that, we think she would do best in a quiet adult-only home with people who will give her patience and understanding. When she first came into rescue, Thumbelina was extremely stressed and had a few seizures during that adjustment period. Since settling in, we haven’t seen any additional seizures. We are monitoring her closely with our veterinary team to determine whether seizure medication will be needed long term and will update her profile as we learn more. Thumbelina has been through a lot, but she deserves the chance to finally feel safe, loved, and home for good. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Story
Shi-Shi is a 5-year-old Shih Tzu Chihuahua mix who weighs about 12 pounds. She’s a sweet little dog who gets along well with other dogs and is currently being fully vetted with us. She was originally left with family and sadly never reclaimed, so she’s now looking for a stable, loving home where she can feel secure. Shi-Shi can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but she does warm up with time and patience. She has had puppies in the past and will be spayed so she won’t have to go through that again. Because we are still learning more about her, we think she would do best in a home with older children or adults only. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments.
