Story
** If you are interested in adopting Jenny please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Meet Jenny! Jenny is a 9 year old Cockapoo (Cocker Spaniel / Poodle mix) looking for a loving home to spend her golden years in. She was bought as a puppy by her owner, which is how we know she's a Cockapoo. Jenny spent her whole life being loved by her owner, who sadly had to move to an assisted living facility. A family member surrendered her to us, and now she's ready to find a new person to call her own. Jenny is a sweet, friendly girl who gets along with everyone she meets; people and other dogs alike. She's social and warm, and she's used to being part of a home, so she's fully house trained and knows how to be a good housemate. She's a bit on the chunky side at 35 pounds and could stand to lose about 5 pounds, so light daily walks and portion control will help her get back to a healthy weight. From Jenny's foster, who is her previous owner's son: "Jenny is well trained. Potty trained, walks well on leash (will pull if she sees a bunny though!), good home manners, etc. She wants to sleep in the bed , but just as comfy on the floor. She sleeps in bed with me and my dog. She is a little intimidated by dogs on walks that have a lot of energy, but that's just because she's a mellow lady. Her worst habit is begging, as my mom unfortunately fed her from her plate. I give her a frozen kong when I eat. She is learning not to beg, and improving. She is very food motivated. She has lived her whole 9 years with an elderly woman in a house with full yard and quiet neighborhood" Jenny is diabetic and needs two insulin shots a day. It sounds like a lot, but it becomes a quick part of the daily routine, and the cost is very manageable (about $100 for a 45-day supply of insulin, so less than $100 a month). We're happy to go over everything with her adopters before she goes home. Jenny is up to date on her vaccines, spayed, and otherwise in good health. She will also be sent home with 45 days worth of her insulin. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out 400 dogs each year. Applications are currently being accepted for our wonderful pup. If interested in this gorgeous, very cuddly/sweet and loving best friend, please fill out an application completely at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

Story
Sutton is a gorgeous Cockapoo puppy born April 3, 2026, and rescued from the pet trade. Now living his best life in foster care, this 10.6-pound, non-shedding wild man is making up for lost time! Sutton is highly intelligent, extremely active, affectionate, and delightfully goofy. He loves children, dogs of all sizes, exploring, chasing stuffed balls, playing tug, solving enrichment toys, and wedging himself into any available lap. He already knows sit and down and is learning come and shake. He needs an active, engaged family that will continue his training and keep his busy brain productively occupied—otherwise, he may begin remodeling your home without a permit. Sutton uses potty pads and is learning to potty outside. Cats are unknown. Petfinder inquiries are not adoption applications. Story
Nellie is a smart, affectionate Cockapoo puppy born on April 3, 2026. Rescued from the commercial pet trade, this 8.6-pound little lady is now discovering toys, children, zoomies and the critically important art of snuggling. She lives with children ages 3, 6, 13 and 16 and does wonderfully with them. Nellie loves balls, squeaky toys, sniff mats and anything she can chase. She is active but not over the top and settles beautifully when playtime ends. Nellie knows sit and down and is learning stay, come, shake and fetch. Potty training is still in progress; she uses pads indoors and does well when taken outside. She has done well with small, large, older and male dogs, but her foster form reports she is not good with female dogs. Cats are unknown. Nellie is playful, clever, cuddly and just dramatic enough to keep life interesting. To learn more about Nellie and apply to adopt, you MUST visit www.pawsitiverestorations.com. Applications are accepted only through our website.

Meet Curry, formerly Benji! Age 3, 16lbs Mini Poodle Mix **Good with other dogs, Older kids only no young kids please. Unsure on Cats we can cat test He just arrived last week from Texas where he was an owner surrender due to the other dog not liking him in the home. He is doing very well in his foster home, working on jumping on people and can be a little protective of his bones so using a crate is a must for feeding and special treats. He is very cute, playful and energetic. Curry is a cuddle obsessed pooch - once he’s tired out from a nice long walk or play session he will happily lay with you while you provide plenty of pets. He just wants your love and affection. He’s happiest by your side, but preferably i. your lap. Curry has been receptive to being picked up/held. He is still working on some leash manners, but is learning quickly! Although he may not go in his crate on his own except to eat, he does wonderfully once he’s inside. He is very quiet once he’s inside and sleeps throughout the night without a peep. Must apply at posodogrescue.com in order to be pre approved for a meet and greet Comes fully vetted and with 2 free one on one dog training sessions

Story
Jade is an adorable ball of cottony cuteness that climbs into your heart (and lap) with a wag and a kiss. What isn't clear in these shelter photos is how truly beautiful this puppy is with her stunning apricot coat and sweet as can be smile. When Jade looks at you with her gorgeous dark eyes, it's impossible not to fall deeply in love! Jade is every bit the sweet puppy, fun-loving, active and so silly! At the same time this sweet baby is a happy-go-lucky girl who expresses herself with her wagging tail and excited kisses of love once she feels comfortable in her environment. Farfel's Rescue would like to see Jade in a home where she'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and tons of loving hugs. Positive reinforcement / force free virtual or in-person training classes promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a puppy whose self-esteem will fly high while she masters her skills. Farfel's feels so strongly about a training opportunity for every dog that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't choose to make this loving choice. We are happy to provide a list of approved virtual and in-person positive reinforcement trainers in your area. Jade has a gorgeous non-shedding apricot coat that is currently shelter-sad. Her forever family will need to make a lifelong commitment to periodic grooming (approximately every 8 - 10 weeks) and excellent nutrition . Current research is clear that the best diet for coat care and general health / longevity is a fresh, human grade diet. Farfel's recommends Chi Diet (chidog.com) for the long, healthy life of your dog. Right now, Jade is a blank slate who will soak up positive feedback with every effort to be the best behaved and most cuddly dog around. She bonds easily and would love nothing more than to be a full-time best friend - neighborhood walks, trips to the store (she'll be a great window-shopping friend), couch-sitting and backyard fun would be just right for Jade as she grows and becomes more and more comfortable in her new life. This precious puppy is flexible enough that she can be introduced to virtually any situation and if there is love and gentle guidance, she can succeed. Jade's new family must have the motivation, energy and open heart for a young rescue dog. She requires behavioral guidance with boundaries and tons of love to give her a positive outlook on her world. Our sweet Jade would be overjoyed with a family that spends lots of time at home during the day. She would love nothing more than to be a best companion for daytime walks, cuddling and outdoor play. A family that works full time hours outside of the home wouldn't be a match for this sweetie as she's too sensitive for that type of arrangement. Jade has been fully vetted and vaccinated to support Farfel's commitment to adopting out only healthy dogs. She has also been spayed to honor our work for a euthanasia-free future in the canine population. Jade is arriving on transport in Boulder on Wednesday 8/5/2026. Applications are currently being accepted for our sweet as can be puppy. If interested in this very cuddly and loving best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ and submit. ** PLEASE NOTE ** If you're truly interested in adopting Jade, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Story
Moose is a 7-year-old, 28 lb. Wheaten Terrier / Poodle mix boy with a big heart and a loyal personality. He is dearly loved by his family, who adopted him 7 years ago, but with young children in the home they can no longer give him the calm environment and attention he needs. Moose is affectionate, playful, smart, and deeply bonded to his adult humans. He loves snuggling, following his people around the house, fetch, tug-of-war, hide-and-seek, and relaxing nearby on work-from-home days. He even gives “hugs” by gently placing his paws on your shoulders and giving kisses. Moose is fully house trained, trusted loose in the house when home alone, and generally very well-mannered indoors. He knows many commands, including sit, down, stay, settle, touch, leave it, take it, rollover, high-five, hug, and get your ball. Moose has lived successfully with another dog and loved his Pomeranian sister for 5 years. He has also done well with doggie daycare and boarding, once given time to adjust. Moose’s best fit is an adult-only home or a home without young children. He has shown stress signals around young kids and would do best in a calmer household. He is also leash reactive and may bark or pull when seeing strangers or unfamiliar dogs, so he needs an experienced adopter willing to manage walks thoughtfully. Moose is treat motivated, loyal, affectionate, and very trainable. With the right home, he has a lot of love and companionship to give. Send us an email if you're interested in Moose at SummitDogRescue@gmail.com, telling us a bit about yourself, your home environment and your lifestyle. A volunteer will get back to you shortly.
