Story
Meet Bruce (formerly known as Simon) Sometimes loving a dog means recognizing what they need most - even when it's incredibly hard to let them go. Meet Bruce, a 3-year-old, 12-pound Cockapoo and former LOLAs pup. His family has loved him deeply ever since adopting him 3 years ago and describes him as goofy, sweet, affectionate, and one of the biggest cuddle bugs they've ever known. Bruce's favorite place is wherever his person is. He loves being held and will happily wiggle his little body into your lap or arms in the most uncomfortable positions imaginable just so he can be close to you. He's a sweet, funny little guy who loves stuffed toys, learning tricks for treats, and simply being part of his person's world. Over the years, Bruce's family has done everything they could to help him with his anxiety. They worked with trainers and behavior professionals, tried medication, and made changes to help him feel more comfortable. But as life became busier and their family grew, they began to realize that the hustle and bustle of their home was making it harder for Bruce to feel at ease. Their decision to return him to Lola's Rescue wasn't made because they stopped loving him. Quite the opposite. They made the incredibly difficult choice because they want Bruce to have the opportunity to live a life where he feels safe, relaxed, and happy. Bruce is a sensitive little soul. He can be nervous in new or unpredictable situations and needs a little time and patience to feel comfortable. Once he trusts you, though, you get to see the goofy, loving boy his family has cherished for the past three years. Bruce would love a quiet, adult-only home with someone who enjoys a close companion and understands that some dogs simply need the world to move a little slower. A predictable routine, patience, and lots of affection will go a long way with this special little guy. He has lived with another dog and could potentially enjoy having a friendly canine companion again. A fenced yard would be a wonderful bonus. Bruce is crate trained, knows his basic commands, has mild energy, and is happiest when he's snuggled up with his people. He doesn't ask for much. Just a quiet place to feel safe, someone to love, and a lap to call his own. We think that's a pretty wonderful thing to give a dog. Bruce is ready to start again. ##1629400##

Story
Meet Dorothy!! Miniature Poodle, maybe a mix. 12 lb. Estimated age 3–5 y.o. Spayed Female Dorothy is a Velcro girl who is eager to get close to her person, then relaxes in the lap. She is good on leisurely leash walks, and sleeps and eats in her crate. Free roam, not destructive. She is good with other dogs and loves to play, chase, and bounce. Shares toys, food, and space well. So far, she has only been around dogs her own size. She was timid at first but settles in quickly. She seeks out attention and lap time and likes to have a say in how she’s handled. She can be afraid of being trapped and will retreat if someone reaches for or grabs her, so she does best when allowed to approach and give her consent. Likely kid friendly. Very sweet and entertaining. She would benefit from a stable, predictable home where she can settle into a routine and build trust, rather than one with lots of change. Medical Notes: - Age is a guess, her teeth show she is definitely an adult dog - Spayed - Microchipped - 4DX Negative - Heartworm negative - Up to date on shots: Bordetella, Lepto, Rabies and DA2PP - No current health concerns

Meet Yesi ❤️ Sweet, Loving, and Ready to Find Her Forever Family Breed: Cocker Spaniel Terrier Mix Gender: Female | Age: 09/05/2025 | Weight/Size: 20 lbs (Small-Medium) Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Kids ✔️ | Cats: Unknown Personality: ❤️ Sweet | Loving | Friendly | Affectionate Medical: ✔️ Spayed | ✔️ Vaccinated Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue coordinates safe transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality & Breed Information Yesi is a beautiful one-year-old Cocker Spaniel mix weighing approximately 20 pounds. She is a sweet, loving young girl with a gentle personality and is ready to find a permanent family to call her own. Yesi is friendly with other dogs and good with children, making her a wonderful candidate for many different types of families. Her compatibility with cats is currently unknown. At just one year old, Yesi is entering young adulthood. She still has plenty of youthful energy and curiosity, but she's beginning to move beyond the earliest puppy stage. This is a wonderful age for continuing her training, establishing household routines, and developing a strong lifelong bond with her new family. Yesi would love being included in everyday life—going for neighborhood walks, exploring new places, playing at home, and spending quiet time with the people she loves. As a Cocker Spaniel mix, Yesi may share many of the qualities associated with Spaniels. They are often affectionate, intelligent, playful, sensitive, and strongly people-oriented. They tend to thrive when they're included in family activities and receive plenty of companionship. Yesi would benefit from: Plenty of love and companionship Daily walks and regular exercise Interactive toys and playtime Positive-reinforcement training Mental stimulation and enrichment Continued socialization Consistent household routines Regular grooming and coat maintenance A safe indoor home where she's part of the family A lifelong commitment Cocker Spaniel-type coats can require regular brushing and grooming, particularly around areas prone to tangling. Their floppy ears should also be routinely checked and kept clean to help prevent irritation and ear problems. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect At one year old, Yesi is still young and learning. Rescue dogs may arrive with basic training at best, so her future family should be prepared to continue working on house training, leash manners, basic commands, boundaries, and household routines as needed. Even a friendly, confident dog can need time to adjust after adoption. Yesi should be allowed to become comfortable with her new people, surroundings, and routine without being rushed. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to understand her new household routine 3 Months to fully settle in, build trust, and feel at home Positive reinforcement, patience, praise, and consistency will help Yesi understand what is expected of her while strengthening the bond she develops with her new family. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Yesi is already spayed and vaccinated, giving her a great start toward a healthy adult life. Her future family should continue providing: Routine veterinary wellness examinations Recommended vaccinations and boosters Flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention Routine dental care Regular ear checks and cleaning as recommended Regular brushing and professional grooming as needed Quality nutrition and healthy weight management Daily physical exercise Mental stimulation and enrichment Continued positive-reinforcement training Veterinary treatment whenever illness or injury occurs A safe and comfortable indoor home At only one year old, Yesi has her whole adult life ahead of her. Adopting her means committing to providing the veterinary care, grooming, training, exercise, security, and companionship she needs throughout every stage of her life. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Yesi, please complete an adoption application at: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Thank you for considering adoption through Ozzie and Friends Rescue, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to helping deserving dogs find safe, loving, permanent homes. Although we are based in Los Angeles, California, we coordinate safe and reliable transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. Yesi is young, sweet, dog-friendly, kid-friendly, and ready to give her heart to a family of her own. At just one year old, she has a lifetime of love ahead of her—and she's waiting for the people who will love her just as much in return. ❤️September 11, 2026, 1:49 pm
