Story
Meet Bruce (formerly known as Simon) Sometimes loving a dog means recognizing what they need most - even when it's incredibly hard to let them go. Meet Bruce, a 3-year-old, 12-pound Cockapoo and former LOLAs pup. His family has loved him deeply ever since adopting him 3 years ago and describes him as goofy, sweet, affectionate, and one of the biggest cuddle bugs they've ever known. Bruce's favorite place is wherever his person is. He loves being held and will happily wiggle his little body into your lap or arms in the most uncomfortable positions imaginable just so he can be close to you. He's a sweet, funny little guy who loves stuffed toys, learning tricks for treats, and simply being part of his person's world. Over the years, Bruce's family has done everything they could to help him with his anxiety. They worked with trainers and behavior professionals, tried medication, and made changes to help him feel more comfortable. But as life became busier and their family grew, they began to realize that the hustle and bustle of their home was making it harder for Bruce to feel at ease. Their decision to return him to Lola's Rescue wasn't made because they stopped loving him. Quite the opposite. They made the incredibly difficult choice because they want Bruce to have the opportunity to live a life where he feels safe, relaxed, and happy. Bruce is a sensitive little soul. He can be nervous in new or unpredictable situations and needs a little time and patience to feel comfortable. Once he trusts you, though, you get to see the goofy, loving boy his family has cherished for the past three years. Bruce would love a quiet, adult-only home with someone who enjoys a close companion and understands that some dogs simply need the world to move a little slower. A predictable routine, patience, and lots of affection will go a long way with this special little guy. He has lived with another dog and could potentially enjoy having a friendly canine companion again. A fenced yard would be a wonderful bonus. Bruce is crate trained, knows his basic commands, has mild energy, and is happiest when he's snuggled up with his people. He doesn't ask for much. Just a quiet place to feel safe, someone to love, and a lap to call his own. We think that's a pretty wonderful thing to give a dog. Bruce is ready to start again. ##1629400##

Story
Shorty is a 12 year old poodle mix, adopted from a shelter at 4 years old. We don't know much about his early life. Shorty is ready to retire from family life- our kids are too loud and rough with him and he has exhibited some anxiety-related behavior like having accidents in the house. When he did a trial run with an older couple, he had no accidents- we think this is an environmental issue. He has never bitten anyone. He has lived with dogs, not sure about cats, is fine being an only dog. He is leash-reactive, meaning he needs distance from other dogs when on walks- not a puppy play date or dog park kind of dog. An experienced owner living in an apartment or owner with a fenced yard would be best. He is affectionate with kids but nervous at times-we prefer a no-kid home, he's looking for a quiet house to chill. He is healthy and up to date with vaccines, could lose a little weight.Owners should be familiar and comfortable with grooming needs and expenses of poodle breeds.

Story
Meet Minnie! Minnie is a sweet 5-year-old, 12–14 lb black-and-tan Poodle with a playful personality and a heart full of potential. She loves crackly toys, entertains herself with adorable zoomies, and will keep you smiling with her silly antics. Minnie has lived successfully with other dogs and would enjoy a canine companion, though she also enjoys simply being near her people. She is crate trained and has moderate energy, making her a wonderful companion for a calm home that can provide structure and patience. Minnie is still learning important life skills, including house training and walking on a leash. Because leash walks are very stressful for her, she is looking for a home with a securely fenced yard where she can safely exercise, play, and build confidence. Minnie is naturally very shy and easily startled. Quick movements, unfamiliar situations, and sudden changes can frighten her, and it takes her time to build trust. While she enjoys being around her people, she is not a cuddly lap dog at this stage and prefers affection on her own terms. Her ideal adopter will understand that earning her trust is a journey and will celebrate the small victories along the way using gentle, positive reinforcement. Because of her sensitive nature, Minnie is looking for an adult-only home or one with older teens. She is not a good fit for a home with young children. Minnie's ideal home: Securely fenced yard No young children Patient family committed to continuing her training and building her confidence A calm, predictable environment Plenty of toys for playtime and zoomies If you're looking for a sweet, funny little companion and have the patience to let her blossom at her own pace, Minnie is ready to find her forever family. ##2784540##
