Story
Hi, My name is OLLIE and I'll be 2 years old on 2/20/2026. I'm a cockapoo with curly brownish/silvery hair who just got it shaved tight but I'm still cute! I am house trained and I do sit, stay, paw and I love to play ball. I Love my home now but my Mom is having some medical issues and it's just too much for her to take care of me. A home like I have now would be wonderful and I'm sure there are some beautiful people out there that would Love me like my family does. I hope you consider me for your loving doggie! Love, Ollie

Story
Meet Harley and Marvel, a devoted duo currently in Woodstock Valley, CT! Harley is a sweet eight-and-a-half-year-old Cockapoo with soulful eyes and a velvety black coat, while Marvel is her dashing almost eight-year-old Miniature Schnauzer sidekick, dressed in silver-gray and always ready to make you laugh with his charmingly goose-like bark. These two are more than just best friends, they’re a tightly bonded team who bring out the absolute best in each other. Harley is the quiet leader, observant and sensitive, happiest curled up near her favorite human or trotting alongside you on a calm walk. Marvel, on the other hand, is the entertainer, playful and affectionate, with a deep love for tug-of-war, fetch, and any squeaky toy that crosses his path. Together, they balance each other beautifully: Harley’s calm steadies Marvel’s enthusiasm, while Marvel’s spunk encourages Harley to come out of her shell. Both dogs are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, crate trained, and house-trained. They’re on a grain-free diet to help keep their ears healthy, and Harley takes a daily Zyrtec to manage mild seasonal allergies. Regular grooming is a must to keep their lovely coats tangle-free and comfortable. Though they’ve been living in a peaceful rural home, a shift in routine has left them feeling anxious with increased noise sensitivity and more time alone. What they need is a calm, consistent environment with a new loving person or family who is home most of the time and can provide daily walks, playtime, and a lot of love. While they haven’t been around young children, they do great in stimulating environments like doggy daycare, becoming relaxed, curious, and social butterflies! They’ve also shown friendly or shy behavior around other dogs and cats, depending on the situation. Harley and Marvel aren’t just looking for a home, they’re looking for a heart-to-heart connection with someone who understands the quiet power of companionship. Could your family be the one to welcome these two loyal, lovable pups into your life and share in their next joyful chapter? To learn more or meet this precious pair, contact adopt@joyfulpets.com! Are you ready for double the snuggles, double the tail wags, and twice the joy?

Story
Meet Shiloh, a four-year-old Cockapoo (born 12/1/2021) with the most stunning grey/silver coat and an even more beautiful heart. Weighing just 26 pounds, this hypoallergenic, non-shedding boy is the perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal, loving best friend. Shiloh was originally surrendered by his owner in October 2024. He was adopted to a family in New Jersey shortly after, but unfortunately, they’ve now learned that a home with children is not the best fit for him. Shiloh becomes anxious in busy, high-energy environments, especially with kids running around and lots of noise, and we want to make sure his next home truly sets him up for long-term success. This sweet boy lives for closeness. His favorite place in the world? Curled up on your lap. Shiloh adores cuddling, being near his person, and soaking up all the love he can get. He also enjoys chewing on his Nylabones, playing fetch with his Chuck-It balls, romping with other dogs, and heading out for walks and hikes. He’s just as happy adventuring outdoors as he is snuggled up on the couch. Shiloh does not enjoy being approached or touched while resting or sleeping, and he needs a calm, predictable environment where he feels safe. For this reason, he is not recommended for households with young children (under 8 years old). He will do best with a single person or a couple looking for a devoted companion and true best friend. His current family also consulted with a veterinary behaviorist, and Shiloh is currently on medication for anxiety which has helped him tremendously. With the right home, he thrives and shows just how incredibly loving and affectionate he is. You should have some level of dog experience and a home with a fenced yard for Shiloh to run and play in. He will not be a good candidate for apartment living. Shiloh is housetrained, walks well on leash, and knows his basic commands — sit, paw, down, come, and leave it. If he happens to pick up something he shouldn’t, simply repeat “leave it” and he will drop it on his own — he just needs the space to make the right choice. In the right setting, Shiloh is a sweet, cuddly, loyal boy with so much love to give. He doesn’t just want a home — he wants his person. And once you’re his, you’ll have the most devoted little shadow by your side. His adoption fee is $425 and Shiloh is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered. Story
Lennie is a very adorable playful lovable puppy. He gets along great with other dogs and he adores children. My cats play with him and he is very gentle with them. He has the sweetest gentle list personality . He’s so corny and does such funny things that he keeps us laughing all the time. We would like him to go to a home where they will treat him like family. He deserves to be in a loving caring environment, and he will thrive. He is paper trained, and crate trained, and he does go outside as well.

Story
Elliana They gave me a fancy name at last! Can you believe it? I have been used as a breeder dog for years and years and then dumped at the local pound with a mammary gland tumor that you could play tennis with!! Who does that!!! At least that is what my foster mom thinks my life has been like. I sat there in a cage at animal control for 4 weeks before anyone would think about pulling me out of there but my foster mom said that she had to take me home so that I would have a chance to be a beloved pet before I die. Not that I am planning to do that anytime soon, but you never know. Anyhow, I went to the vet right away and had that big nasty thing taken off my stomach and the vets knew right away what it was and what it was from. They took out the baby making bits as well, so I won’t have to go through having my babies and then losing them right away to being just a baby and money making factory for somebody. Sheesh….get a job!! I have some issues, I won’t lie, but I am starting to kind of get used to being out of a cage, where I learned to circle around and around as there wasn’t a lot of space in those things. I can walk in a straight line and the more I get time outside, the more I am enjoying the fresh air and smells in the grass. I will revert to circles when I am nervous but Rome wasn’t built in a day and I have only had freedom for a couple of months now. I don’t have many teeth, as the ones I did have were rotted and broken from trying to eat the bars I suppose. I startle easily from the lack of being held and loved in my former life, and will try to “gum” you if I pick me up too quickly. But speaking to me and touching me before you pick me up will let me know you are there and going to be gentle with me. I am still getting used to the being held part, and sometimes can’t tolerate it very long, but I am learning and going slow is really helpful to me. I am learning what good food tastes like, and what a soft bed feels like, and while I have pretty limited vision to see things, I can follow my nose and it helps me to find everything I need to get around. Foster mom leaves me a puppy pad to potty on in the house if I have to go at night, and I am pretty good at using it. It took a while to figure out that is what it was for, but also, if I potty outside after meals, I am good if I keep to a schedule. So that is my story. If you are interested in giving a blind old lady a soft landing for the rest of my life, let me know. Local adoption in Texas only please.

Story
Me me me me meeeeeee!!!!!! What? Oh. My foster mom says that is NOT how to spell my name. It is spelled “MiMi" which sounds the same but who cares how it is spelled. I am a vintage model of a little poodle and I was a much loved member of the family at one time. Not to say that I am spoiled or anything but I know what I want when I want it! So it really is all about me! I adore being around my people and love being held. I will make little whimpering noises if you are there and I think I haven’t had enough lap time and look at you with my puppy dog eyes so that you feel guilty and pick me up where I want to be. I am a healthy 14 year old poodle who is scheduled for spay and teeth cleaning on Jan. 5th and then will be able to go to my new home after that. I use a potty pad when I am sleeping on the floor, but my foster mom puts a diaper on me when I sleep on your bed because I am not too keen about jumping off the bed. So when I have to potty, if I am on the bed, sometimes I will potty the bed. But the diaper takes care of that. I am a whopping 10 pounds and do walk pretty well of a leash as long as you don’t walk too fast. I am housebroken if you take me out on a schedule. Adoption fee in Texas is $200 Out of State fee with transport and fuel surcharge is $450.
