Story
Meet Harley! An eight-and-a-half-year-old Cockapoo currently in Woodstock Valley, CT, whose gentle spirit and fluffy black coat make her a quiet little star with so much love to give. Weighing 22 pounds, this small and soulful girl carries herself with a tender confidence, blending a playful spark with a calm, devoted nature that makes her a constant companion. Harley adores squeaky balls, cheerful games of fetch, and peaceful walks where she can take in the world at her own pace. She knows sit, stay, come, and wait, and she is wonderfully food motivated, which makes learning through positive reinforcement both fun and rewarding. Although she has not attended formal training classes, she is eager to connect and thrives when her caregiver offers guidance, patience, and encouragement. At home, Harley shines brightest when she has plenty of together time. She can feel anxious when left alone for long stretches, and sudden noises, unfamiliar visitors, or wildlife in the yard may make her uneasy. With reassurance and a predictable routine filled with play, companionship, and strolls through the neighborhood, she settles beautifully. She is house-trained, crate-trained, spayed, and up to date on vaccinations. Harley follows a grain free diet to help manage chronic ear infections and takes Zyrtec to stay comfortable during spring allergy season. Though shy around other dogs and cats, she is not aggressive and has done wonderfully in doggie daycare settings, where she appears relaxed and social. On leash, she can be reactive, so she would benefit from continued positive reinforcement and thoughtful behavior support. More than anything, Harley needs a patient, nurturing family who can be present and include her in daily life. Could Harley be the sweet shadow by your side? Story
Elliana They gave me a fancy name at last! Can you believe it? I have been used as a breeder dog for years and years and then dumped at the local pound with a mammary gland tumor that you could play tennis with!! Who does that!!! At least that is what my foster mom thinks my life has been like. I sat there in a cage at animal control for 4 weeks before anyone would think about pulling me out of there but my foster mom said that she had to take me home so that I would have a chance to be a beloved pet before I die. Not that I am planning to do that anytime soon, but you never know. Anyhow, I went to the vet right away and had that big nasty thing taken off my stomach and the vets knew right away what it was and what it was from. They took out the baby making bits as well, so I won’t have to go through having my babies and then losing them right away to being just a baby and money making factory for somebody. Sheesh….get a job!! I have some issues, I won’t lie, but I am starting to kind of get used to being out of a cage, where I learned to circle around and around as there wasn’t a lot of space in those things. I can walk in a straight line and the more I get time outside, the more I am enjoying the fresh air and smells in the grass. I will revert to circles when I am nervous but Rome wasn’t built in a day and I have only had freedom for a couple of months now. I don’t have many teeth, as the ones I did have were rotted and broken from trying to eat the bars I suppose. I startle easily from the lack of being held and loved in my former life, and will try to “gum” you if I pick me up too quickly. But speaking to me and touching me before you pick me up will let me know you are there and going to be gentle with me. I am still getting used to the being held part, and sometimes can’t tolerate it very long, but I am learning and going slow is really helpful to me. I am learning what good food tastes like, and what a soft bed feels like, and while I have pretty limited vision to see things, I can follow my nose and it helps me to find everything I need to get around. Foster mom leaves me a puppy pad to potty on in the house if I have to go at night, and I am pretty good at using it. It took a while to figure out that is what it was for, but also, if I potty outside after meals, I am good if I keep to a schedule. So that is my story. If you are interested in giving a blind old lady a soft landing for the rest of my life, let me know. Local adoption in Texas only please.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Moe! Moe is a beautiful little white Maltipoo with a gentle spirit and a heart ready to bond with the right family. Born around March 11, 2025, this sweet boy weighs 10.8 pounds, making him the perfect size for lap snuggles and companionship. Moe came from a hoarding situation where he was one of 29 dogs, so the big world can feel a little overwhelming at first. Because of this, he may take a few minutes to warm up to new people. But once you approach him calmly and give him a few gentle pets, you can almost see the moment he relaxes—then he quickly becomes your loyal little friend. He gets along great with other dogs and truly enjoys their company. Moe is also very smart and eager to connect with his people. With a patient and loving family who will give him time to feel safe, he will blossom into a devoted and affectionate companion. Moe is still learning some of the basics, including walking on a leash, but with consistency and kindness he will catch on quickly. If you’re looking for a sweet pup who just needs a little patience to shine, Moe may be the perfect match for Adoption Fee: $400 Apply to adopt Moe: www.adoggie4you.org Give this gentle boy the loving home he’s been waiting for! If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $250. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Story
Oliver is proof that age is just a number — because this 9-year-old boy still wakes up every day ready to play, have fun, and celebrate life. If you ask Oliver what the best thing in the world is, he won’t even hesitate: TOYS. Every kind of toy. But squeaky toys? Those are the absolute jackpot. The second Oliver spots one, his whole face lights up and he’s instantly ready for the best game ever. Toss it, squeak it, wiggle it — he is all in. Watch his YouTube video now https://youtu.be/3H4jpF_LsP4?si=yCM0J8mf3jKFrPdb Oliver could happily spend hours playing if you let him. Tug-of-war is one of his favorite games, and he takes it very seriously (in the most adorable way possible). He loves grabbing onto a toy and showing off his playful side, bouncing around with that happy, excited energy that makes everyone around him smile. And while Oliver may technically be a “senior,” you’d never know it by watching him. He still has the spirit of a playful young dog who just wants to have a good time. He has that wonderful zest for life that makes every day brighter — whether he’s chasing a toy, proudly carrying one around like a prize, or zooming around with pure happiness. Oliver is also an incredibly sweet boy. He loves being around people and sharing his happy personality with everyone he meets. His playful energy is balanced by a loving heart, and he truly enjoys spending time with his humans. He’s the kind of dog who fills a home with laughter, fun, and lots of joyful moments. Because toys are such a big part of Oliver’s world, he would do best in a home with kids who are a little older and able to join in on his enthusiastic play style. He’s just such a toy-loving guy that he gets very excited when playtime starts! One thing that would make Oliver especially happy is a home with a yard. A backyard would be the perfect place for him to run around, stretch his legs, and show off his adorable zoomies while proudly carrying his favorite toy around. You can just imagine him happily bouncing around outside with a squeaky toy in his mouth, living his very best life. Oliver truly is such a special boy. He’s playful, sweet, silly, and full of personality. He has so much love, joy, and fun to bring to a home, and he deserves a family who will appreciate his playful spirit and share lots of toy-filled adventures with him. If you’re looking for a dog who will make you laugh, keep life fun, and remind you every day how exciting the little things can be — Oliver might just be the perfect addition to your family. All he needs now is a forever home, a basket full of toys, and someone to play with. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
