Story
Hello, I'm BooBoo, a wise older soul looking for a patient human to share my golden years. At 13 years young, I’m a 37 lb Poodle who's learned a thing or two about life…I know what I like and what I don’t. I’m told that’s very Poodle-ish. LOL Let me start with the car situation. I have an excellent memory, perhaps too excellent, and I remember that cars usually mean trips to the vet or bath time. So yes, I get a bit skittish about car rides. I'm not being difficult – I'm just being cautious based on experience and that I’m probably not going to like what’s coming next! But I go and we get through it. LOL Speaking of baths and grooming, I'm actually pretty good about it, except when it comes to my face. I prefer a gentle approach there, if you don't mind. I can get a little reactive when people make sudden movements around me, but it's nothing personal – I just like to know what's coming. Once we get into a routine, all is good. Here's what I absolutely love: affection! I'm not shy about seeking out cuddles and attention from my favorite people. I have so much love to give, and at my age, I don't want to waste time being coy about it. I'm also perfectly content being left alone in the house – I've mastered the art of independent relaxation. I do have some specific needs that come with my distinguished age. I take joint chews for my arthritis (they taste pretty good, actually), and I'm on a special diet to keep my bladder stones at bay. These little accommodations help keep me feeling my best. I can get along with other dogs, but I'd appreciate slow introductions – let's take our time getting to know each other. And while I love people, I do better with patient adults rather than unpredictable little ones. I know I might not be the easiest adoption choice, but I'm hoping there's someone out there who appreciates a mature gentleman with character. I have years of love left to give to the right person who understands that the best relationships are built on patience, respect, and lots of gentle affection. Could you be my perfect match? Let’s find out…complete an application through the FCCR website, www.floridacockerrescue.org. ADOPTION FEE: $200

Story
Hello world!!!! It’s me Daphne. I am a sweet miniature Poodle girl who was lucky enough to be rescued by these wonderful ladies at FCCR. My days as a breeding dog are over and only sunny days are ahead!! yayyyyyyyy..... I am only 4 years old and I am a wee one at only 8 lbs…yup yup yup I have weight to gain so lots of treats are in my future..lucky me!! I am a shy girl but a love bug once I get to know you....after all I need to trust you first. Then I will be your shadow! I LOVE to be picked up and held and nap next to my human on the couch. I feel safe in my human’s arms ? This whole new world…living in a house (please no condos for me as I talk a lot when left alone) and having a human who loves me is amazing but can be a little scary...but foster mommy says I am doing great at the newness of it all. My foster Mommy is helping me learn so many new things..house manners, leash walking on grass, riding in a car…I am a good girl...building my confidence and I will be a wonderful family companion..promise! I get along with other dogs and still like to play like a puppy so I would love an active (and playful) canine sibling. No kitties for me though and I would probably be ok with older children whose sudden movements won’t startle me. I am used to sleeping in my crate but am enjoy sleeping on the couch or in the big bed with my foster mommy. ?? I can’t wait to find my forever home. If that might be with you, please complete an application through the FCCR website, www.floridacockerrescue.org. ADOPTION FEE: $ 395.00
