Story
BooBoo is an adorable chocolate and white cockapoo boy. He is 11 yrs old and 36 lbs (could use to lose a few lbs, but who among us...?). This sweet boy is easy-going and loves affection from his human, and he also has excellent house manners. Booboo enjoys a quiet and calm environment where he can nap frequently and enjoys taking short/medium walks. When out in public, he is a social boy who loves attention. BooBoo gets along with other dogs if there is a proper and supervised introduction when meeting new dogs. He will get excited and pull on the leash when he sees an unfamiliar dog. Booboo doesn't love car rides but will tolerate short distances to the vet, groomer, etc. He has not been around children on a regular basis, but has done well (with proper introduction/supervision) when meeting neighborhood kids (8 yrs or older). He has a bit of arthritis in his hips and takes daily medication for it. If you are interested in applying for this loving and beautiful boy, please complete an application through our website, www.floridacockerrescue.org. His ADOPTION FEE is $275.

Story
Help us welcome Spunky, a 15 years young, 15 lb Poodle mix who says age is JUST A NUMBER!!! It's hard to believe Spunky is 15 years old and we suspect he may be younger given the zoomies he does around the house after a bath and his perfect health!! You may remember we scooped him up from the shelter after his family surrendered him. They could no longer care for him and we didn’t wait a second to say yes, we would help him. Now he is ready to find a home for his golden years. Spunky is good with other dogs and loves to meet all dogs when out walking. He is a perfect gentleman to the ladies - only sniffs their noses - they all LOVE him! 😂 And he loves to walk - it’s his favorite activity in the whole world. He is great on a leash — walks by your side and never pulls. Spunky is also fine with cats; he ignores them. Spunky is a very calm boy and follows his foster Mom around the house and will lay down by the door until she returns. He likes toys a bit and will play by himself. He does not get on furniture unless invited and then enjoys sitting next to his human or maybe in their lap but he does not like to be petted or touched. We don’t know what this poor boy went through in his previous life but he will cry out if touched- we suspect abuse/punishment and as such he is traumatized from years of it.Despite this all, he years to be by his human's side and is very happy to be sitting next to you and looking at you adoringly. He does tolerate having his head/ears scratched while collar/harness/leash are being put on/taken off because he loves to go outside. As Spunky has reached this senior age, it’s not unexpected that his hearing is limited. He is not a dog food traditionalist either 😂 and prefers chicken, rice and some vegetables. He has come around and will now eat most dog treats. This sweet boy has a big heart and is ready to give it to YOU if will open your home and heart to him. If you are interested in adopting Spunky, please complete an application through our website, www.floridacockerrescue.org. His adoption fee is $ 175.00.

Story
Help us welcome sweet Miles, a 12 yo, 14 lb miniature Poodle mix with special needs who just wants to be LOVED! Miles has a slight neurological condition that causes him to sway his head from side to side and affects his walking at times . We are looking for a home with one level living and a fenced-in yard. He is a very loving boy who gives kisses and feels most secure when his human is holding him or sitting with him on the couch. Miles is fine with other dogs and ignores cats. We have not observed him around children but due to his condition, he would do best in an adults only home where someone is home most of the day. Miles knows to go out to the yard to do his business and then wants to be brought back in. He loves his doggie bed and is the king of naps! If you are willing to open your home and heart to Miles, please complete an application through our website, www.floridacockerrescue.org. His ADOPTION fee is $150.

Story
What do you get when you cross a beagle with a poodle---you get a CURLY! Everyone say hi to our sweet 3 year old / 16 lb Curly boy. This incredible little guy is as sweet and lovable as his pictures capture. And he is a survivor!!! Curly came to us in deplorable shape after having been attacked by another dog ( or dogs) and his front leg and chest punctured.....but despite the pain that he was in Curly never stopped giving kisses to his attendants at the shelter. After sitting at the shelter for almost 4 days we knew we couldn't let him be euthanized so we ran to his rescue....and we have been blessed ever since as he is sooo special. Even his shelter attendants shed happy tears as we whisked Curly away and immediately took him to our vets for surgery. You could not meet a more loving and well behaved soul. He gets along great with dogs and just loves people once he knows them! His favorite spot is on foster mommy's lap LOL. Curly is now looking for his special and forever home where he will be loved as much as he will love you back...to the moon and back. If interested in adopting Curly please fill out an application at www.floridacockerrescue.org ADOPTION FEE: $350.00
