Story
We’re looking to rehome our sweet 3-year-old female Cockapoo. She has ongoing health challenges that need continued support. She has had severe itchy skin for about two years. We’ve worked closely with our vet and tried multiple treatments, but unfortunately haven’t found a lasting solution. She also has a habit of eating her poop that hasn’t improved despite different interventions. Because of these issues, she must be supervised at all times and cannot be without her cone, except during walks otherwise, she will try to scratch and end up hurting herself. We’re expecting a baby soon and regrettably can no longer provide the constant supervision and vet care she requires. We’re hoping to find a dedicated, experienced, and compassionate person who can continue to work with her and invest in her health and happiness. If you have the time, patience, and resources to help her thrive, please reach out. She truly has a sweet personality and deserves a loving, understanding home.

Guys and gals, please allow us to introduce you to Feather! She is a 20 pound, 6.5 year old, Cocker Spaniel/Poodle mix with a curious but timid demeanor. Though she's shy, she can be won over with ear scratches and snuggles! Feather is pretty Indifferent to other dogs and we think she'd be fine with cats and older, respectful kiddos! Feather's foster family has started leaving her in the crate when she's left alone and she settles pretty quickly. They've also started working on potty training with her. Feather is still pretty unsure about this whole new world she's found herself in. She follows her foster mom everywhere, but new and loud noises frighten her and her inclination is to hide. She likes to cuddle on the couch and seems to feel more secure being right by a person's side. We think that's just fine and are happy to oblige Feather's needs! We think she will do best in a calmer home with people who are patient and show her lots of love while she continues adapting. Her adorable floppy ears, curly locks, and painfully sweet personality will surely leave you smitten. If you're looking for a pup who will soak up all your love and snuggles, and be your little shadow in life, Feather would be a great fit! Let us know if you'd like to meet her! Marty is being fostered in PA. 1-17-2026 Update for Marty Marty is doing really well in his foster home and is still a spunky little man with a bit of arthritis in his backend but it doesn't slow him down. Marty's hearing continues to be pretty good for his age and he is right in the mix of his foster siblings when Mom comes home after being out for any time. Marty's hair has grown in nicely on his back. He was almost bald when he came to his foster home. Marty's foster mom had never seen a change in a foster's personality quite as drastic as she did following Marty's dental, when all of his teeth had to be removed. Some teeth were so badly decayed that they had begun to calcify and attach to his jaw bones. After a few days of recovery, he began to eat and to be interested in the world. Marty eats soaked kibble with some soft food mixed in and eats every bite of each meal. He is now on 4 medications for his congestive heart failure and is doing very well with just an occasional cough. Fun facts about Marty: -He LOVES burrowing into beds that have a flap for him to crawl under -He is not safe when on furniture because he will quickly decide he wants off and give no warning and has no fear. -Marty never barks -Marty is smaller than the two cats in his foster home and really doesn't care. :) Little Marty is a sweet, easy-going little mini poodle guy who gets along with dogs and cats and people of all ages. His breed is guessed at as a full blooded mini poodle. His estimated age is about 13 but he's a very quick-stepping little man and enjoys exploring his environment, especially outside. He can find his way to the door and he was doing a great job at pottying outside until his foster mom went back to work a couple weeks ago. He will be very easy to get back in the habit of eliminating outside with a forever family who is home more. He's fairly easy to figure out in that, if he's up and exploring, he needs to go out. :) Marty has a very thin coat of fur on his torso but he does not have any visible skin issues and does not itch. His thyroid levels were checked and were fine. We know little about his past life so he may be recuperating from a past issue. Marty is leash trained and does well but because he's a small and older guy, walks won't be very fast. He also rides well in the car. At this time, he seems to enjoy dog bed hopping over being on a lap and he will walk right off the edge of a chair or bed. He needs to be carried up and down stairs and has no awareness of being at the top of stairs. He will remind his foster mom if his breakfast or dinner is overly late. Marty has had a slight cough since arriving in his foster home and following an xray on September 16th, it was discovered that his heart is slightly enlarged and he has a small amount of fluid in the upper portion of his one lung. These are both signs of congestive heart failure, which is fairly common in little old men like Marty. He will probably need to take Benazepril, Lasix and Pimobendan for the rest of his life. These medications run about 50.00 per month. Marty will have a dental on September 26th. He will probably need to have most, if not all, of his teeth extracted but it will be so much better for him to have a healthy mouth again! Marty will make a sweet little companion for some family. He's very excited to be spoiled and doted on for the rest of his days. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Lennon Is An Awesome Puppy Saved From The Puppy Mill. This handsome boy was destined for a sad life as a stud in a mill. Thankfully the breeder was discarding him and we got him and his siblings safely out and into our rescue. Despite his rough start, Ringo is a touch shy but warms up pretty quickly. He will be an awesome member to any committed forever family. He will blossom with love and will do well in a home with another friendly respectful dog companion. Like all puppies he will need structure and a patient loving home. We recommend training for all puppies not only to give the puppy learning skill. But you and your puppy/dog will create a stronger bond just for having gone to training. Lennon is fully vetted, He has been neutered, received age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, Subsequent vaccines are at the expense of his adopter, His adoption donation is $1200.00. He is on the hunt for his own completely committed family, Little Dogs can live to be 20+ years old so he wants to be sure his family is all in 100% for better or for worse! IF INTERESTED IN A PUPPY (UNDER 12 MONTHS): YOU MUST HAVE A FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULE OR SOMEONE HOME ALL DAY.
