Story
Meet Harvey! Harvey is a sweet 5-month-old Cavalier King Charles with a heart full of love! He’s a bit shy at first, but once he warms up, he’ll be your loyal companion for life. Harvey enjoys the company of people, and respectful dogs,. His playful side shines when he feels comfortable. If you’re looking for an affectionate pup ready to bring joy to your home, Harvey is eager to meet you! Like all puppies, he’ll benefit from gentle structure and positive training to help him settle into his new family and routine. Harvey is fully vetted. He has been neutered, received age-appropriate vaccines, and is microchipped. Subsequent vaccines will be at the expense of his adopter. His adoption donation is $1200.00. He’s searching for his own completely committed family. Little dogs can live to be 20+ years old, so he wants to be sure his family is all in for better or for worse! IF INTERESTED IN A PUPPY (UNDER 12 MONTHS): You must have a flexible work schedule or preferably someone home all day. Puppies need to be let out to potty often. They need socialization, bonding, and training (housetraining and behavioral training). If you work long hours, have a busy social schedule, or are not financially secure, then a puppy may not be the right choice. We adopt in the local Chicago metro area only. We require home visits. If you would like to apply to be considered as an adoption candidate for Harvey the first step is to fill out an application for adoption on our website at: https://www.rescuetailsanimalwelfare.org/info/adoption Rescue Tails Animal Welfare is a volunteer in home foster based rescue, We do not have a physical location. We are all volunteers with full-time jobs. We try to get back to all applicants within 72 hours. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at: RescueTailsAnimalWelfare@gmail.com. Story
Sally is a sweet cavalier looking for a family that speaks 'dog'. Sally is a breeder release from a commercial facility. She hasn't had the benefit a dog her age might have who was born in a home. That being said, while she is a bit scared and timid, once she feels safe she is eager to bond with a family. She needs family who will help her slowly decompress and adjust in her own time. Sally is a friendly gentle gal. She needs a fenced in yard for her potty place. She doesn't understand leash walking. Cavaliers are Velcro dogs and Sally is no exception. Once she feels comfortable she will follow you to the bathroom and jump in the shower with you if you let her, Shew wants to be near her people. If you don't want a Velcro dog, she is not the one for you. Sally is young and is pretty talented at counter surfing, surfing through good garbage or helping you finish your dinner if you leave it unattended on the dining room table. Be warned! Like all dogs, she will need structure and a patient, loving home. We recommend training for all dogs, not only to give Sally important learning skills, but because you and your dog will create a stronger bond just by going through the training together. Sally is fully vetted. She has been spayed, received age-appropriate vaccines, and is microchipped. Subsequent vaccines will be at the expense of her adopter. Her adoption donation is $1200..00. She is on the hunt for her own completely committed family. Little dogs can live to be 20+ years old, so Sally wants to be sure her family is all in for better or for worse! IF INTERESTED IN A PUPPY (UNDER 9 MONTHS): You must have a flexible work schedule or someone home all day. Puppies need to be let out to potty often. Lincoln Is An Awesome Puppy Saved From The Puppy Mill. This handsome boy was destined for a sad life as a stud in a mill. Thankfully the breeder was discarding him and we got him and his siblings safely out and into our rescue. Despite his rough start, Lincoln is a touch shy but warms up pretty quickly. He will be an awesome member to any committed forever family. He will blossom with love and will do well in a home with another friendly respectful dog companion. Like all puppies he will need structure and a patient loving home. We recommend training for all puppies not only to give the puppy learning skill. But you and your puppy/dog will create a stronger bond just for having gone to training.
