Hi friends, I'm Pawl! I will be adoptable at MHS on Monday, April 29th! There are limited appointments available to meet me, so please call 219-872-4499 now to make sure you have one scheduled! I'm a special kind of pup, so please read about me first! I arrived at MHS as a stray so I wasn't able to share my background with them. Once I trust you, I am the most charming boy! I'm looking for someone patient and compassionate who understands that a calm and structured home will help me to be happy and feel safe. The world is a big place to a tiny boy like me, so lots of things are scary to me. I know I would be set up for success if my adopter will help me navigate when I have big feelings. For example, when I am comfortable in a home and new people, specifically men, walk in, it makes me uncomfortable. I'm hoping someone can teach me how to be the best boy I can be when that situation comes up. The humans say that I will absolutely thrive with someone who will provide me with consistent training, gentle guidance, and a calm environment. You know, someone who is invested in me! The humans told me to tell you that with the right care and support, I will undoubtedly blossom into a confident and joyful companion. After I've adjusted, I love snuggling. My loyalty and affection are above most! I've done great with being house-trained. I know how to come and sit on command. I like my food because it is my food. I'm working on learning that I can share and not be nervous when others come near me around it and I've been improving! I lived in a foster home for a little bit and I learned that I love to nap. Like a lot of naps. Naps are the best. I'm not a loud and crazy fellow, I'm a quiet good boy who likes a more serene environment. I have lived with foster fursiblings and I did well! I'd prefer kiddos in the home to be about 8ish and older. I am a little over one-year-old, am about 19-pounds, and am neutered. Make sure to call to meet me! I'm hoping you will be the one to unlock my full "Pawl-tential" and show me how amazing life can be. Love, Pawl.
