A brisk walk followed by her favorite activity of all - a cozy nap curled up on your lap. And when you come home, you can expect an enthusiastic welcome from this happy girl who is always excited to see her people! Sugar can be a little reserved for the first moment when meeting someone new, but it doesn’t take long for her to warm up. She is accepting of everyone, including children, and is happy to make new friends. She is also dog friendly, although she’s pretty indifferent to her canine companions. 🐾 BARKLEY is a newer surrender who is a Springer Doodle and just 9 months old. He's had all his first vetting since he's come to us including first vaccines, exam, hw test, preventatives, and also getting him on the schedule for his neuter ASAP (included in his adoption fee.) He came to us VERY matted and must feel so much better already with his new do - which is just starting to grow out after a coupe of weeks finally! Barkley was just weighed and is 36 lbs. and close to if not all the way grown. He's good with everyone and everything he meets, and is doing great on housetraining. 👉 Adoption fee INCLUDES: all vetting to age (including deworming, flea & tick etc), spay/neuter and microchip (if the dog is under 6 months, alter and chip will occur after they're 6 months, covered in full at our clinic or reimbursed partially at a vet of your choosing). If the dog is older than 6 months and not yet altered, we will schedule ASAP (normally within 30 days) at our clinic . We also provide as an incentive a $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes. We are not a shelter and are completely volunteer foster-based, so there is no central place to come see all of the dogs available. 📌 IMPORTANT NOTES: ** Housetraining with rescues is sometimes a work in progress and even if a dog is 100% in a foster's home, it should be expected there will be an adjustment period as a dog adapts to a new environment. This is even more true if the dog has not by chance had their altering appointment at time of adoption. ** Also, we highly recommend some form of 2-week shutdown and decompression for dogs going to a new home for best results. --> Lastly, breed guesses in rescue are just that (GUESSES!!) 99.9% of the time. We do not do DNA testing and our breed guesses are based on appearance and sometimes other traits, but we know the dog breed guessing game is a fool's errand even for those with LOTS of experience. 🗺 ADOPTION AREA: several hour radius of Rochester, NY (Canada within 3 hours IS allowed, except that young puppies need to be old enough to have gotten their rabies vaccination to cross the border - usually around 16 weeks)

Meet Kendrick, a sweet 10-year-old Miniature Poodle looking for his perfect retirement home! Kendrick is a total homebody who loves nothing more than cuddling up next to his human. While he prefers being indoors, he does enjoy short, fun spurts of outdoor time and is a big fan of walks. He is incredibly friendly, loves people, and has great recall when off-leash in quiet, distraction-free areas.Kendrick is part of a deeply bonded senior pair and must be adopted with his best friend, Dotti, a 9-year-old Pug/Boxer mix. Dotti is highly maternal and protective of him, and they absolutely cannot be separated. Kendrick has Celiac disease, he strictly requires a high-quality, grain-free diet to stay healthy. This sweet pair is looking for a calm environment with no kids and plenty of quality time. They do fine with other calm pets, but as seniors, they can have occasional indoor accidents. They just need a loving owner who is home often to give them stability and endless cuddles!
