Story
Meet Mochi — a 3&#226&#128&#145year&#226&#128&#145old, 23 lb Cockapoo mix with a heart as soft as his curls and a personality that melts everyone he meets!   Quick Facts: Name: Mochi Breed: Cockapoo (Cocker Spaniel/Poodle) Mix Age: 3 years old Weight: 23 lbs. House-Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Yes Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Not tested Good with Kids: Not tested Energy Level: Low/Affectionate Fence Required: No Bonded with: Sushi   About Mochi’s Breed: Our best guess is that Mochi is a Cocker Spaniel/Poodle (Cockapoo) mixed breed. Cockapoos — a mix of Cocker Spaniel and Poodle — are known for their affectionate, people&#226&#128&#145loving nature and their gentle, friendly temperament. They’re typically smart, social, and eager to please, which makes them wonderful companions for families, singles, and seniors alike. With their soft coats, expressive faces, and cuddly personalities, they often become deeply attached to their humans and love being part of daily life.   Their ideal home is one where affection flows freely and they can enjoy plenty of companionship. Cockapoos thrive with families who appreciate snuggles, enjoy light to moderate activity, and can offer consistent love and attention. They do best in nurturing environments where they’re included in the fun — whether that’s a cozy movie night, a neighborhood walk, or simply curling up beside their favorite person.   What to Love about Mochi: Mochi is a treat&#226&#128&#145loving, cuddle&#226&#128&#145seeking sweetheart who adores snuggling with his people and his bonded brother, Sushi! These two make an incredibly loving, affectionate duo, and Mochi is the type of pup who will stand on his back legs just to get extra pets and attention. He’s observant, gentle, and has a special love for chicken and cucumbers!   Mochi is potty trained, crate trained, and has such great house manners that he can be left uncrated when you’re away. He’s friendly with other dogs and loves greeting them on walks — sometimes with a cheerful barked “hello.” He hasn’t met kids or cats yet, but would likely do well with respectful children who understand how to interact gently with dogs. Mochi is lower&#226&#128&#145energy overall, happiest napping in your lap or curled up beside you, but he enjoys leisurely walks in the woods or around the neighborhood with Sushi. He does pull on leash and would benefit from some training, but he’s eager to please and loves being part of the family.   Mochi’s Magnificent Highlights: 3&#226&#128&#145year&#226&#128&#145old, 23 lb Cockapoo mix with a mellow, affectionate personality Deeply bonded with his brother Sushi — they make an incredibly loving duo Total cuddlebug who loves napping in your lap or right beside you Treat&#226&#128&#145motivated and loves chicken and cucumbers Friendly with other dogs and enjoys greeting them on walks (sometimes with a barked “hello”) Potty trained, crate trained, and trustworthy uncrated thanks to great house manners Lower&#226&#128&#145energy but enjoys relaxed walks in the woods or around the neighborhood Hasn’t met kids or cats yet but would likely do well with respectful children Overall a gorgeous, gentle, observant boy who thrives in a home full of affection and cuddles    If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate, gorgeous little companion — and especially if you’re open to adopting a bonded pair — Mochi and Sushi are ready to fill your home with warmth, cuddles, and endless love.   Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. to ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Sushi thrives on love, snuggles, and being close to his people — he’s the kind of pup who will happily curl up in your lap for an afternoon nap and consider it the best day ever.   Sushi is friendly with everyone he meets and would likely do well with respectful kids, even though he hasn’t met any yet. Story
Charm truly lives up to his name. This happy-go-lucky pup approaches life with a cheerful spirit and a wagging tail, always ready to see what fun the day might bring. He’s still settling into home life and learning the ropes, including leash manners, navigating a house routine, and getting comfortable in outside social environments. Like many young dogs, he’s still figuring out the world around him, but he’s making progress and learning a little more each day. Charm also shows some of the typical traits often seen in Poodle mixes—he’s smart, energetic, and very people-oriented. Because of that, he can sometimes experience a bit of anxiety or separation anxiety, which his foster family is currently working on. With continued structure, training, and reassurance, he is expected to keep improving. This lively boy will do best with a family who understands that active, intelligent dogs need both physical exercise and mental engagement. With patience, consistency, and lots of love, Charm is sure to grow into the wonderful companion his name promises.

Story
Francine is extremely sweet to humans and loves to sit on or next to her humans at all times. She is a couch potato and loves to lie belly up and snooze on the couch. Francine will do best as the only pet in the home; she's not a fan of other dogs in her space and would prefer to have all the attention to herself. She needs a home that is slow-paced and where she can relax on the couch all day long. Due to her age, she is not very active but she still likes to play with toys. She is very well potty trained, but is NOT happy being crated. While she doesn't bark, she can be vocal if she's upset, so she probably isn't a good fit for apartments. She will be best suited for someone who stays home a lot and has a lot of attention to give her. She is just a tiny chunky couch potato that wants to be loved. At 13, Francine has a few medical issues and quirks that her new family needs to be ready to embrace. She's very sweet, it's just that getting old is hard for anyone! She is a cute little grandma looking for a couch for snoozes and her next belly rub.
