If you don't know the age, breed, weight, what vet care we provide our dogs, the adoption fee, or how to apply, you have not read the write-up. Dulcie Breed: Poodle mix Gender: Female, spayed DOB: 11-7-2023 Weight: approx. pounds Microchipped Adoption Fee: $400 We love little Dulcie! Once she gets to know you, she is all about her people! She is eager to please, eager to play, and eager to slumber during quiet time! All around, she's a lot of fun and a wonderful companion! Dulcie is a wonderful little dog who had a few challenges before we got her! She had been hit by a car and broke her pelvis. She recovered from her pelvis injury, but once we were given the all-clear to groom her, it was discovered she had also broken her left foot! She had a severely luxating patella on the same leg and we had that repaired. The vet examined the foot at that time and it was determined the foot did not require further intervention. So, she's a great little dog who can walk and run who often holds up her leg when she is tired. We are seeking an adults-only home for Dulcie that will take her for the walks she loves and on outings to pet friendly locations! She LOVES people, loves other dogs and is a happy companion! Can you guess her favorite game? FETCH! She could play this all day, if allowed! She's a cray cray girl when it comes to playing fetch! This little girl is a fantastic dog who is just looking for the right people to call family! Good w/ Other Dogs- Yes Good w/ Cats- Likely Energy Level- Low to moderate Children- Adults only Grooming Needs- High Walks on Leash- Yes Special Needs- Some limping Knows basic commands- Learning Experienced Home- Required Good First Time Dog- Looking for experience Rides well in car- Yes Crate Trained- Yes Low Allergen- Yes Good apartment dog- No Fenced Yard- Required Adoptive homes within the Raleigh, NC area preferred. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Iris was saved from a neglect situation in Nash County. Her soulful eyes captured our heart.  Iris is about 2 years old and a smart, scrappy, affectionate little watchdog! She is content to snuggle close, but also loves to play, and collects and cherishes her toy stuffies. Although she gets along well with submissive dogs, she would LOVE to be the one and only! Iris' left front leg has a deformity, the vet said likely it was fractured in the past and never set and healed that way. It doesn't keep her from running around in delight. Initially frightened, she's learned quickly how to live in a home around family and is learning housetraining. Spunky, happy personality, loves to take walks and explore.  No kitty friends! ************************************************************************ The adoption fee is $400, which covers food, vetting, microchip and the spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet.  All dogs receive a wellness visit and are up to date on shots appropriate for age.  Breed and size is Pawfect Match Rescue's best guess and not guaranteed. Please go to https://www.pawfectmatch.org/animals/search? and search on the dog name to see more photos, browse the profile, and complete an application    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2025, 11:42 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Miss Mimi! This sweet girl is something special. Despite being used for breeding, Mimi is still so sweet and so loving. She’s shy at first, but once she gets comfortable her true colors start to shine through and they are BOLD! This little queen knows exactly how cute she is and will have you wrapped around her little toe in no time! Mimi would do best in a home where she is the only dog, or one of very few. She gets along with other dogs just fine, she is just very submissive and needs some space to be her true self. Mimi is not house trained or leash trained. She may have some kind of trauma associated with leashes because she is extra fearful when you put a leash on her. Her foster is working on collar and leash training, but it would be best for her to be in a home with some fenced space for her to run around. Mimi has not been temperament tested with small children, cats, or large dogs, although she seems to ignore the neighborhood cats and large dogs when they walk past her foster’s house.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2025, 8:07 pm

Story
🌟 Meet Scamp — 12-Year-Old Poodle Mix & Gentle Soul 🌟 Scamp is a 12-year-old poodle mix with soft ears, a tiny frame, and the sweetest, calmest energy. He’s a quiet little guy who loves cozy spots, soft blankets, and a peaceful home. 💛 Personality Scamp is slow to warm up and needs patience and gentle handling at first. But once he feels safe, he becomes your best friend — a true lap buddy, cuddle buddy, couch partner, and walking buddy. And the best part? Once he trusts you, he’ll hop right into your lap on his own, like he’s been doing it his whole life. 🐾 What He Likes • Short, relaxed walks • Sniffing the yard • Cozy naps • Soft treats • Quiet companionship 🐶🐱 With Other Pets Scamp does well with other dogs and cats, but mostly ignores them. He’s polite but not looking for a playmate — he’s perfectly happy as an only dog or coexisting calmly with other pets. 🌿 Health He has a heart murmur, but it doesn’t affect his daily life. It just needs to be monitored as part of his routine vet care. 🏡 Ideal Home A calm, patient home where Scamp can settle in slowly. If you give him time, he’ll give you his whole heart.

Story
(DOB 11/17/2019) Finneas is a tiny gentleman with a huge heart and a whole lot of personality! This slightly older poodle mix (possibly a Maltipoo!) is weighing in at a wooping 9 lbs and is packed with spunk, sweetness, and cuddles. Finneas is always happy and wants nothing more than to be near his person and is truly a tiny shadow who would love tagging along everywhere. A baby carrier or sling? Yes, please! He’s the perfect “take-anywhere” companion. Finneas enjoys the company of another dog and would be happy to join a family with another, sweet 4-legged sibling. He likes to have company if you need to step out without him. In addition, he truly has never met a stranger. He loves everyone!! So much so, and if you don’t act fast, he just might leave with the Amazon or UPS guy! One little point of interest, Finneas is a toothless wonder! The no “teefer” situation doesn’t slow him down one bit! He will happily eat anything he can get into his mouth, so he’ll need a tidy home without small toys or dropped items. Extra care should be taken with vitamins or medications left within reach. Had fun and belly is full, and it’s time to relax, this little floof turns into a world-class snuggler curling up on you, beside you, or even behind your head for a cozy nap. Bonus: he’s an excellent sleeper. Because Finneas wants to be with you at all times, he can be a bit under-foot so something to keep in mind with this devoted little companion. He’s currently re-learning proper potty habits (proud belly-band wearer), travels wonderfully in a secure car seat, and does best when leashed so he doesn’t try to jump around. If you’re a homebody or want your pup with you 24/7; Finneas would absolutely flourish as your constant sidekick. He is ready to bestow all of his love and sweetnees on you. Going forward every day will be better with Finneas in it! As part of Finneas’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this adorable pup, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Finneas, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2594174##

Story
(08/05/2013) If you are looking for a well-mannered paw-fect senior pair, these two are truly a daily gift. Meet Sandy and Shadow! They remind me daily to enjoy the life I have been given and to do it with them This potty-trained duo are mature, loveble, intelligent, and happy friends who have lived together for years. They are ready to devote their best years to a fantastic family! Whether yal are retired, have children over 8 years old Shadow & Sandy are the right age for anyone interested in sharing their daily life with this special canine pair. They do love children. Little Shadow has a new little, baby kitten friend which is very cute. Sandy, the taller of the two woman’s and /or man’s best friends, appears to be about 7-8yr. Shadow, predominantly a short black and white cutie, is perhaps 10yy. They are known to be healthy overall, have been fully vetted, enjoy walks under our beautiful NC skies, enjoy a car ride, and know how to use a dog door. They also would say “Yes” to…a fenced yard. If you seek these pastimes: cuddling, watching pooches twist in delight when booties are scratched, relish in the pleasure of a relaxing afternoon in bed when it is raining or snowing, being the recipient of pooch smooches, and look forward to playing with stuffies, look no further! PS. – If you usually ride shotgun, you may have competition or… a guest on your lap.  As part of Sandy & Shadow's bonded $400 (for both) adoption fee, they arebe spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.  If you have questions about this sweet little girl and boy,  you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Sandy and Shadow, you can fill in an online application for them under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##1811010##
