Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Moe! Moe is a beautiful little white Maltipoo with a gentle spirit and a heart ready to bond with the right family. Born around March 11, 2025, this sweet boy weighs 10.8 pounds, making him the perfect size for lap snuggles and companionship. Moe came from a hoarding situation where he was one of 29 dogs, so the big world can feel a little overwhelming at first. Because of this, he may take a few minutes to warm up to new people. But once you approach him calmly and give him a few gentle pets, you can almost see the moment he relaxes—then he quickly becomes your loyal little friend. He gets along great with other dogs and truly enjoys their company. Moe is also very smart and eager to connect with his people. With a patient and loving family who will give him time to feel safe, he will blossom into a devoted and affectionate companion. Moe is still learning some of the basics, including walking on a leash, but with consistency and kindness he will catch on quickly. If you’re looking for a sweet pup who just needs a little patience to shine, Moe may be the perfect match for Adoption Fee: $400 Apply to adopt Moe: www.adoggie4you.org Give this gentle boy the loving home he’s been waiting for! This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $250. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Story
Introducing Dot! Dot is a 5 1/2 yr old, 8 lb Mini Poodle. She has survived being a puppy mill mama and is learning how to trust the world right now. She loves to cuddle in tight and seems to have a good heart. Time, patience and attention is what she will need to gain confidence and learn how to be man's best friend. Each day she is learning she is safe now and kisses/gentle words are in abundance for her. Regarding house training, Dot uses pee pads because she is scared of the outside smells and noises. She will need guidance and continued outside experiences to feel comfortable enough to do her business there. Dot loves scrambled eggs and chicken and is currently being fed a mix of soft and hard dog food. She needs a home with patience, comfort and gentle encouragement to help her along in her journey to be the cutest addition to your family! Dot is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Ozzy, a sweet and soulful 6.5-year-old, 53-lb poodle mix with the soft, curly coat of a pure poodle and the heart of a devoted best friend. Ozzy is the definition of a gentle companion—polite, friendly, and always eager to be by your side. He walks beautifully on a leash like a true gentleman making him a perfect addition to a loving home. Ozzy seems especially drawn to forming a close bond with a woman, happily staying nearby throughout the day, and even settling in close at night. He’s not destructive, is fully potty trained, and already knows basic commands like “sit.” He’s affectionate without being overwhelming, open and friendly with men, and thrives on companionship and connection. At a healthy weight and with a good appetite, Ozzy has just the right balance of energy—he’s just as happy playing as he is curling up for a cozy snuggle session. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle, and loving companion who will always be by your side, Ozzy may be your perfect match. Ozzy did test positive for Lyme disease, which is transmitted through tick bites and is fairly common, especially in stray dogs. He is being treated and/or monitored, and many dogs never show symptoms or go on to live normal lives with minimal management. Ozzy is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $300.00.
