Story
Meet Danica! Danica is an adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, 2 years old and weighing 15 pounds. Her striking black and white coloring reminded us of a racing champion's checkered flag - so we named her Danica. Though she came from a puppy mill and was used for breeding at a young age, Danica isn't carrying that past with her. She's looking forward with hope and excitement, ready to embrace her new life. Danica absolutely loves to run in a fenced yard - she'd be a star at a cross-country meet! She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and would do best with another confident dog in her forever home. She hasn't yet been introduced to cats yet. She's making great progress with leash training, is nearly house-trained, and sleeps peacefully in her crate all night. That said, her favorite place to sleep would be cuddled up next to her person in bed. Danica adores gently pets and is still learning to enjoy full-on hugs. She's as sweet as can be and ready to become the newest member of your family. Danica is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Gracie! Gracie is a 5-year-old, 20-lb Cavapoo with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. She adores relaxing by her person and happily accepts all the pets and kisses you’re willing to give. Recently, she’s grown even more affectionate and now enjoys curling up close—and sometimes right in your lap! Gracie enjoys spending time outdoors, taking in new smells and sounds. While she can be unsure around unfamiliar people and dogs, she simply needs time and patience to learn that they mean no harm. She’s making great progress and wants nothing more than to please. House training is going well—Gracie has only had a couple of accidents and understands the cue “go potty.” She’s a sweet, easygoing girl who would thrive in a calm home. A household with older children would be ideal, and she prefers to be the only dog. If you’re looking for a laid-back companion who’s ready to leave her puppy mill mama days behind, Gracie could be your perfect match. She’s a devoted snuggler who loves sleeping in bed and will happily snooze as long as you do. 📍 Gracie is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area and is ready to find her forever home. Her adoption fee is $450.00.
