You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, I’m Dawson!  I was picked up with my family by a few good people who found us on the highway. They brought us to rescue, where I have been looking for my forever home.  I’m a friendly, happy boy who loves everyone I meet — dogs included! I get so excited to see my people that sometimes I bounce up to say hello, but it’s only because I’m so excited to be loved. I’ve got a sweet personality, a goofy side, and I’m always ready to make new friends. Even though I get excited, I have a sweet nature and just want to be close to my people. Going into a new home, I will need some minor training on showing me how to be potty trained. I like toys, playing with the other dogs in my run, and meeting new people.  Due to my breed, I will need regular brushing and grooming. My adoption fee is $400. I am neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, 4dx negative and current on proheart 12 and bravecto. I’m currently in Texas, but I can travel to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, KY, and along the East Coast for an additional $250 transport fee. Unfortunately, I can’t travel to Rhode Island or Massachusetts because of state regulations. If you think we might be a perfect match, please apply at www.adoggie4you.org.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 3, 2026, 4:59 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Moe! Moe is a beautiful little white Maltipoo with a gentle spirit and a heart ready to bond with the right family. Born around March 11, 2025, this sweet boy weighs 10.8 pounds, making him the perfect size for lap snuggles and companionship. Moe came from a hoarding situation where he was one of 29 dogs, so the big world can feel a little overwhelming at first. Because of this, he may take a few minutes to warm up to new people. But once you approach him calmly and give him a few gentle pets, you can almost see the moment he relaxes—then he quickly becomes your loyal little friend. He gets along great with other dogs and truly enjoys their company. He will need to go to a home with another companion dog to help him feel comfortable and confident. Moe’s best friend here is Mitchell, and they would love to be adopted together. With a patient and loving family who will give him time to settle in, he will blossom into a devoted and affectionate companion. Moe is still learning some of the basics, including walking on a leash, but with consistency and kindness he will catch on quickly. If you’re looking for a sweet pup who just needs a little patience to shine, Moe may be the perfect match for Adoption Fee: $400 Apply to adopt Moe: www.adoggie4you.org Give this gentle boy the loving home he’s been waiting for! This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Kylian! Kylian is a handsome, gentle boy who is looking for a second chance at his forever home. He was previously adopted through our rescue, but sadly returned due to his owner's declining health. His former adopters described him as an amazing dog who got along well with everyone he met. This sweet guy was born in January 2020, weighs 19 pounds, and firmly believes he belongs in your lap! Kylian is extremely people-oriented and wants nothing more than to be your best friend and constant companion. He is quiet, affectionate, leash trained, crate trained, and has a calm, loving personality that makes him a joy to be around. Kylian does need some continued work with potty training in the house, and because he loves being around his people so much, he should not be left alone for long periods. When unattended, he should be crated or kept in a secure area. If left with too much freedom, he may revert to puppy-like behavior and find creative ways to entertain himself—including getting into the trash! Kylian is neutered, 4DX negative, current on all vaccines, and protected with ProHeart 12 and Bravecto. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with love and happily curl up beside you, Kylian may be the perfect match. If you are interested in adopting Kylian, please fill out an application at www.adoggie4you.org. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Myles — a happy, lovable Maltipoo who’s ready to find his forever family! Born around March 12, 2025, Myles weighs 17.6 pounds and is full of personality. He came to us as part of a 29-dog seizure where, although the dogs were cared for, they didn’t get the individual attention and socialization they needed. Despite that, Myles has proven to be incredibly friendly and people-loving. He thrives on attention and is always excited to be around his humans. Myles would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time, as he truly enjoys companionship and being part of daily life. Myles has also been seen by an ophthalmologist and has cataracts in one eye. He is currently on special eye drops, and we are hopeful for improvement with continued treatment. He also has a playful side—he absolutely loves toys and is always up for some fun. Whether it’s a game of toss or just carrying his favorite toy around, he knows how to enjoy life. He’s currently learning how to walk on a leash and will benefit from a patient adopter who can continue helping him build confidence and skills. With his sweet nature and eagerness to connect, Myles is sure to make a wonderful companion. Myles’ adoption fee is $400. If you’re ready to welcome this charming boy into your home, you can apply at www.adoggie4you.org . You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Jeffrey! Jeffrey showed up as a stray, wandering around on his own and looking a little lost. No one came forward to claim him, so now he's ready to find a family that will never let him wonder where he belongs again. We believe Jeffrey is a Poodle mix, and he'll need regular grooming and brushing to keep his coat from becoming matted. With proper coat care, he'll stay looking handsome and feeling comfortable. Jeffrey is an active, playful boy who enjoys having fun and being around people. He can get a little carried away when he's excited and may give playful "love bites," so he would do best in a home with older, considerate children who understand how to interact appropriately with dogs. He does great with every dog he meets and seems to enjoy canine company. We are unsure how he would do with cats. Jeffrey is neutered, 4DX negative, vaccinated, microchipped, and current on ProHeart 12 and Bravecto. His adoption fee is $500. To apply to adopt Jeffrey, visit www.adoggie4you.org. Story
Meet Sam Winchester! Sam Winchester is a 3-month-old Mini Poodle puppy weighing just 5 pounds, with a beautiful mostly white coat and an incredibly resilient personality. He is a double merle, born as the result of breeding that prioritized coat color over health. As a result, Sam has approximately 90% hearing loss and 90% vision loss. He approaches life with curiosity and joy, never letting his disabilities define him. He loves attention, enjoys being close to his people, and continues to show that he’s every bit as sweet and deserving as any puppy. This sweet little guy is learning what it means to be part of a loving home. He's doing great with potty training and will happily take care of business as soon as he hits the grass. At bedtime, Sam settles down peacefully in his puppy pen with his brother, Dean Winchester. Sam has a fun, determined personality and can be a bit stubborn—he knows what he wants and isn't shy about letting you know! Like any growing puppy, he's also teething and will need plenty of safe, appropriate chew toys to keep him busy and help protect household items. He loves being around other dogs and people and has been adjusting well to life with canine companions of all ages and sizes. Sam would do best in a home with a confident dog of similar size and energy level who can serve as both a friend and a guide. Because of his hearing and vision impairments, Sam needs a patient family that understands his special needs and is committed to helping him thrive. Experience with hearing- or vision-impaired dogs is a plus but isn't required for adopters who are willing to learn. A physically fenced yard is essential to help keep him safe while he explores and builds confidence. Sam may experience the world differently than most puppies, but his affectionate nature, resilience, and playful spirit make him an incredibly rewarding companion. He's ready to find a family that will embrace him for exactly who he is and give him the happy life he deserves. Sam Winchester is fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Opal – Professional Cuddler Seeking a Forever Lap ❤️ Meet Opal, an approximately 5-year-old Poodle mix whose favorite hobbies include snuggling, napping, and being as close to her people as possible. Meet Flufferkins! Flufferkins is a 13 lb, 6 year old Bichon Frise. She spent the first half of her life being bred at a puppy mill. She is learning that people are safe and is coming out of her shell. Flufferkins hasn’t learned the joy of toys or playing yet. With some patience a confident dog in the home, she will learn. In terms of house training, Flufferkins has learned to go outside when the door is opened and comes back in when it’s time. She will need routine and rewards to help her get it down. Flufferkins tends to hang around her crate, especially when she is nervous. She has slowly widened her area of exploration as she gets more comfortable. Flufferkins is waiting for someone who will give her an amazing second half of her life. She will love you endlessly in return. Flufferkins is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Story
Meet Plum Precious! Plum Precious is a quiet 6-year-old, 15 lb Bichon Frise. She comes from a puppy mill, so she's apprehensive about most things, but give her the chance and she'll frolic about the yard with much delight! She has done well in her foster home with loud children and her foster sister, Miss Scarlett. Plum loves food - especially cheese! She's still learning how to "dog" and doesn't quite get the purpose of a leash, squeaky toys or balls... But give her a crinkly snack toy and she's on it. Plum also loves to snuggle up with a blankie or towel and is good about using puppy pads. She likes observing things, so she doesn't need to be in the middle of the action, but if she's ignored for too long she'll bark for some affection. Plum truly is a precious, curious, little thing who will make your heart sing. Plum Precious is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450.00.
